Are you, along with our president, in favor of bring democracy to the muslim world, or do you, along with the hysterical dingbat who wrote this article, want to wage war against Islam?

You do recognize that these aims are mutually exclusive, right? (You do know what "mutually exclusive" means, right?) How do you intend to "wage war on Islam" exactly? I'm genuinely curious. What part about "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," don't you understand? Or will our next Patriot Act circumscribe that?

I know it feels great to bitch about Islam. Hell, there's a #%&* mosque about three miles from my house. But what I wonder is this: Does anyone with a functioning brain think that bringing democracy to the moslem world OR declaring a war on Islam is the answer? Note well: these are NOT THE SAME GOAL. The president, for all of his faults, realizes this. I fear that many posters don't.

I actually think Islam is pure evil.

That doesn't change the fact that it would be wrong to go lynch anyone who calls themselves a Muslim.

This is really all about strategy. It's a stupid strategy to come out and say all Muslims are our enemies.

If we did Afghanistan and Iraq would be a total loss overnight.
