Mike, I don't think one needs to be an expert... it is what appeals to one.. all of us here have different ideas on fashion, ties etc. Not sure there is a right or wrong.

I recall yearly some of the truly outrageous style (to me) that are touted as FASHIONALBE by the "experts". I never see a woman wearing the clothes except on the runway. Maybe I am in the wrong circles.. but I think in general the rule of fashion for most DC women is to dress nicely & NOT OFFEND... but some POTUS haters would be offended by anything, as we well know
