Can you guys help me find an article or report. I checked FNC's website, but it was not up yet.......

Brit Hune's show on FNC just reported that there are some other deals be worked on. Like the one with Nelson.

Ried also offered to Frist, that if Republicans won't vote for the Senate Constittutional option...that he would allow a vote on 5 of 7 of the judicial appointments.

FRIST BETTER NOT TAKE ANY SUCH DEAL...All of them who would get a vote for confirmation from the floor..should be allowed the vote.

Don't you love how the libs think abiding by the constitution is like a nuclear holocaust. To them and their politically-correct vision (nightmare) it is. The constitution as written disintegrates most of their bogus rulings and plans into a doomsday shroud.

IMHO, the only real blunder in this whole mess has been the so-called nuclear option. The idea of a measure that simply sends appointees to the floor for an up or down vote, should have never carried such an ominous label that played into the Democrats hands.

The constitutional option will NOT be administered. Frist & the rest of this "Two-Party Cartel" will not give up the option to resort to True conservatives to get to the Supreme Court. The commies in the other faction will use it when they want it -so much for the majority but this is the government that was voted in. Remember this one stated when GW came in that when he left there would be no true conservative SC when he left & I've been here since March 1998.

yeah..it looks like the dems don't have the votes.

Ried was out in public urging people to call Senators.

"We need six republicans...." So it is obvious that he does not have it.

BUT WHAT IF FRIST CAVES ANYWAY????

He is worried about the press too much....since he wants to run for President.

if senator byrd of WV can have a change of heart about being a member of the KKK, why can't the senate change its own rules?

I believe the Reid proposal is dead. I don't remember the Nelson proposal.

I have a little more faith in Frist.

If he wants to run for President in 2008 he has to pull the trigger to please the base of primary voters.

I wonder if people will retract their statements against Frist if proven unaccurate? Will they have the humility to admit err or will they retreat as is usually the case about here when proven wrong. In otherwords, do they have the guts themselves to apologize? I wonder.

You're right. Reid admitted they do not have the votes as of this moment. Of course anything can change at a moment's notice and I'm certain there are a number of Senators that desperately want to stop this vote, but for the moment they haven't been able to find a way to do so. We need to keep up the pressure on these Senators. No less than a vote on all Justices is acceptable. Period. Anything less than these Senators pay a price.

I think you may be wrong about not enough votes now. The few lame jacka@@ will wait until an aggressive move. They the weak will line up again. Except McCain. He's totally brain dead.

I'm not sure I follow your meaning?

IMO, and this has been my state of mind for a little while, was that McConnell is not a liar. Therefore if he states they have the votes, they have the votes.

My point of argument has been not to question if they have the votes, but to question what was necessary to obtain the votes AND whether they can be kept. This is why I keep repeating again and again to keep Contacting these Senators. Intensify contact. These next days are critical. Make these Senators feel the heat. make them understand there will no acceptance for betraying us on this vote.

McCain has never been a consideration. I knew he'd side against, his constituency is the MSM. It was a given.

I heard that compromise on the roundtable---I about swallowed my tongue--

I CAN NOT IMAGINE what would happen to the Republicans in the Senate if they went with that compromise!!!

It is the worst one I've heard yet!!!!

And after listening to the little weasel Reid today, begging for 6 REpublicans to be "profiles in courage"---

THAT should be enough for any Republican to run away from the dems...

I saw it.

This is why I would rather people stop trying to sabotage the vote by attacking Frist and lineup to keep the "Mavericks" in line.

These next few days are critical. Write, Fax, Call, E-mail. Everyone, not only the ones suspected of being on the fence. Reps and Dems alike. The Dems PR mouthpiece (MSM) is going to do all it can to peel off a couple of Reps.
