I have been waiting for this Cabela's to open.

"We're concerned because obviously they could fall into the hands of criminals." Duhhh... If someone took them, then by definition they would be a criminal.

This was on the news tonight. Apparently they left them in a "storage facility" and when they went to retrieve them, they discovered that the guns were gone.
Interesting tidbit I collected from the newscast - the padlock had not been cut and it was still installed on the door of the "facility".

More than $1300 a piece? Must have missed that in my last Cabela's catalog.

See, if we outlawed guns this would never happen. And everyone everywhere would be safe.(sarcasm off)

A "Storage Site"? I think it's time to investigate the storage site. Obviously it wasn't much on security.

Uh...hey Cabela's, your store has pretty much the same facilities as the kick a-- Bass Pro Shops just up the street in Grapevine. Including the mountan (theirs has a huge bass tank at the base). And Bass Pro Shops is pretty much a skip away from DFW Airport. And really good prices. So good luck with that.
Company officials have said they expect the new store to attract more than 4 million visitors a year, making it the No. 1 tourist attraction in Texas.
The Fort Worth store will include a boat showroom, a trophy deer museum, gun library and a 40-foot mountain.

I have been waiting for this Cabela's to open. From the looks of things I'd say they opened a little earlier than expected.

I hope they start showing up at pawn shops soon.
This would eliminate jihadists or seriously violent criminals, small time crooks or kids would just try to get some quick cash.
Not the best PR for the new Cabelas in my home town.
I love guns, they have to be protected well and obviously were not.
On the bright side now I can just drive to the new Cabelas to get the Browning fiber optic sights I need.
