Prime Minister of Egypt Ahmed Nazif and British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw met separately with President Bush at the White House.

A grenade thrown toward President Bush in the former Soviet republic of Georgia was live, but failed to explode because of a malfunction, the FBI said today.

President's remarks at the RNC Presidential Gala last night.

It used to be that way (even shorter periods of no activity would bump you offline) but dial-up ISP's have grown so much that they have tons of phone lines and aren't so much at a loss to get people connected, so more of them just let you stay on. I could actually stay online for as long as I want without being disconnected, but I do sign off. I set my phone dialing options so that if I get a call, the ring bumps me offline and I can answer the phone.

I had to shut down the PC and unplug everything. The storm was very close and packed quite a punch.

Sounds nice - I sometimes like going up the garden in the early hours of the morning when it is still and quiet and everything is fresh

I like the squirrel/rat/hamster on the Dose, but squirrels in my backyard (with the help of birds) have ripped my outdoor furniture pads to shreds! Good thing I got them at K-Mart several years ago. I had no idea they would do this.

Heal!

That didn't seem to work too well, so I sent a prayer up for some real healing from the source.
