Do you think that Keeler is on such a roll that he might consider stopping the lesbian classes at Loyola Girls' High in Baltimore that Alan Keyes was railing against a decade ago? It might be that Keyes's daughter was led astray by that bunch.
Cardinal William Henry Keeler (photo 2004), 71, archbishop of Baltimore. Keeler was born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He was ordained in 1955 and was assigned to the diocese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was named bishop of Harrisburg in 1983 and held the position until 1989, when he was appointed archbishop of Baltimore. He was the president of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops from 1992-95. He was named cardinal in 1994.
It will be interesting to hear if Keeler has any other sudden revelations of orthodox fortitude infusing him with other outbursts of the Catholic faith. I can only guess that Ratzinger's charisma at the JP II funeral and conclave became contagious or something. Maybe Keeler underwent hypnosis and remedial Catholic programming. [irony] Isn't he getting close to retirement age? Talk about eleventh-hour conversions!
Keeler told the three moms who were objecting to drop dead. Not likely that Keeler will re-visit that.
The moms are tough as nails and have not yet dropped dead, BTW.
