Increased snowfall over a large area of Antarctica is thickening the ice sheet and slowing the rise in sea level caused by melting ice.
A satellite survey shows that between 1992 and 2003, the East Antarctic ice sheet gained about 45 billion tonnes of ice - enough to reduce the oceans' rise by 0.12 millimetres per year. The ice sheets that cover Antarctica's bedrock are several kilometres thick in places, and contain about 90% of the world's ice. But scientists fear that if they melt in substantial quantities, this will swell the oceans and cause devastation on islands and coastal lands.

Furthermore, even the premise that there even WAS a rise of the oceans is quite debateable. Most areas where such "measurements" were being made are in areas of the plates that are subsiding. At my locating, the plate is uplifting, and sea level appears to be falling!
It is not so much the sea is rising, but the sky is falling.
Cause of Global Warming- the gaseous self-luminous central star of our solar system- the SUN... Not to be confused with the gaseous self-deluded blowhards of our solar system.

I read that the earth is getting hotter because the Sun is burning brighter. The sun has increased in luminosity by 0.5 a fairly constant rate. The polar ice caps of Mars is receding more each year.
Specious political funding of specious science, would explain this "amazing" ability to measure "such small changes."

OTOH, I fear that all of the water in the world will freeze and go to Antarctica, drying up all the oceans and causing devastation everywhere. My fear is as realistic as theirs. Neither of us have any rational basis for the fear.
