Can't agree more, but lest we forget. Gov. Wilson in CA. supported the Prop that denied all services to illegal aliens other than emergency room aid. It passed and an activist liberal judge overturned it. Now CA. is solidly in the hands of the liberals and soon to become an extension of Mexico. If we want to control the borders and assimilate new immigrants into our American culture we must win this battle for control of the courts! All these issues are tied together.

Stop these vanities -- it is beyond ridiculous -- you could have posted this on a number of threads. Why is your opinion worth more than the rest of ours? Been around here a long time and most of us that have been posting for years don't do vanities except on a rare occasion. The time table is already set -- what part of that do you not understand? Hagel pulled out of any deal and there is no compromise. Tuesday the hammer falls but leave it to someone who signed on before the election last fall to put up a vanity and ignore the facts.

I have had it with vanities that should be part of the threads. They serve no purpose except to rant against Republicans in this case. Does make one wonder about the agenda.

If I *had* to be a Democratic strategist, this is THE issue I would use to get back into the mainstream. The Republicans are leaving the door open here (no pun intended).

Lucky for us it is a really hard, if not impossible, sell to the hard core left.

Dear GOP : Please remember your promise of smaller, less intrusive government.

They will play with the borders issue and no more. They know the will of the Right, but they also know we can't jump ship-the alternative is too unthinkable. We have painted ourselves into this corner and the only way out is through the checkbook, not the ballot box. When we send notes of rage rather than $$$, they will listen. And they won't start panicking until the "election" cycle is underway.

I've already stopped contributing to the GOP over their tacit support of the Reconquista.

Waaaay ahead of you.

Why is it most of you don't seem to get it, or care?

IMO...I think they have made the assesment and have decided that the consequences of closing the borders are more severe than not. If the borders are closed, and millons of mexicans have to go home, the powers have concluded that the American economy will be severly hurt. Restruants will have to close, houses will not get built, yards will not get mowed, ditches will not be dug, roofs will not be installed, cars will not get washed, etc, etc.

I think that the Bush admin has decided that if they close the borders and the economy tanks, then the R's will lose across the board. If they don't, they may be able to overcome the voter fraud because of the laws that are popping up requiring proof of citizenship.

What they are finding out; however, that We, the People are getting involved and insisting that the borders be closed. It is an interesting problem. I want the borders closed...we can deal with the fallout when it happens.

You tell 'em :o)

i have a feeling that a President George Allen would do a LOT more to stop illegal immigration than what we have now.

They figure we have nowhere to go. /Evidently, they've forgotten about Ross Perot and what his candidacy did for Bill Clinton.

I have come to the conclusion that all god things come in their own time.

Review please the current events. The primary, that is the most important political action is the confirmation of judges. That process is slowly but surely grinding to a successful conclusion

When it is over, there will be Rat energy and blood and guts all over the corridors of power. It will be a seminal event because it will be obvious to all that the Rats have no power. They have been defeated and the winds of change have increased from a zepher to a gale.

The issue of the borders will be addressed when the storm has passed and the Rats have become more docile and fearful of their very political lives. Under those circumstances, much can be accomplished. There can be bipartisen legislation supported by the powerful pubbies and the simpering Rat moderates.

Le ZOTTE: My very IMPORTANT opinion on tonight's debate. VERY IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS VANITY! MAYO

Posted on 09/30/2004 11:56:49 PM EDT by Jim Robinson

NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT OF THIS SO IT DESERVES A THREAD OF ITS OWN!

I think each and every poster on FR should post a new thread stating his opinion on the debate. This way, instead of having only a few threads with hundreds of posts each (ie, discussion threads), we will have hundreds of threads, each with two comments. One the important opinion, and two, the complaint about vanity posts.
