I believe the past week is evidence that the majority of the Republican party has the courage to finally stand up to the Democrats on this issue. The majority have impressed me.

The problem we have are a handful of RINO's we need to break.

And if that means voting those RINO's out of office for betraying us, so be it.

If they believe moveon.org is their continguency, than they can appeal to moveon.org for votes come their next election.

Bill Frist, George Bush and the far wing of the Republican party are desperate to seize absolute control over all three branches of our government.

Actually, that's already been decided.  We call them ELECTIONS.

Liberals didn't want elections in Iraq and they don't want to validate the ones held in the U.S.

"They just don't "get" the fact that most American agree with us and not them."

Wrong!! They know exactly how discredited they are, that's why they're doing this. If they thought that they had a strong case, they would not fear the Republicans, as they would simply beat us at the polls.

The Dems know exactly what they're doing - and it's time for the Republicans in the Senate to finally defeat them, once and for all.

And that's where their arrogance comes in. Remember John Kerry during a fundraiser when Whoppe Goldberg trashed the President by using expletives and talkng about her private parts.? Not only did Lurch not try and separate himself from her disgusting remarks, he went on to say '' The heart and soul of America feels the way we do''! The nerve!I cannot stand these liberals!

Frist will call a vote if the Democrats obstruct no matter what the RINO's do, of that I have no doubt.

We need to continue flooding the offices of the RINO's, though, to get it through their thick skulls this will not be forgiven. Apparently they live in their own little world, as with McCain, where they think they have the support of conservatives and that it won't harm them at all.

Others, like Graham, seem to believe because they have an "R" by their name and the state is conservative..that their jobs are safe because we'd never elect a Democrat. Well, I would hope it wouldn't come to that. I'd first mount a challenge in a primary. But if necessary, I would vote Democrat to cleanse the Party of the Maverick spirit.

My senators (MI) are comrades Levin and Stabenow.....They are so socialist that they don't even need to be on the Moveon.org ping list.......Only death via natural or otherwise is going to get Levin out of the senate. He is so firmly entrenched and enamored with his own self-importance that he will become the next Strom Thurmond.....

No, you are wrong. They just don't get that most Americans agree with us. They actually believe that they "won" the last election and that there is some massive conspiracy led by George Bush that changed millions of votes in electronic voting machines. (at the same time these people also say George Bush is an idiot, go figure)

Go over to DU and read the the "2004 election results" board. These people are aluminum foil wearing nuts.

If you care about the minimum wage — and you don't want judges ruling it unconstitutional — now's the time to act.

If you care about environmental laws — and you don't want judges striking them down — now's the time to act.

Amazing, LOL!!!
Right there in there "emergency" letter, the simple scumbags of MoveOn admit that they want "minimum wage" and "environmental laws" legislated FROM THE BENCH by liberal activist judges.

"Clueless" doesn't begin to describe these vermin....

"No, you are wrong. They just don't get that most Americans agree with us."

With all due respect, you fall into the trap of thinking that our enemy is just misguided, rather than evil.

They are evil, and they have proven it over and over again. They are also extremely smart, and there is no way that us little FReepers understand the public mood better than they do. In other words, they know that their ideas are HATED by Americans - but they are determined to use any means to impose them on us - because they simply HATE AMERICA.

I think some are misguided, some are evil and some are both.

"But if necessary, I would vote Democrat to cleanse the Party of the Maverick spirit."

My God. How could you? (/sarcasm)

Actually, I said the same thing earlier today about the huge tax and spenders that call themselves Republicans here in Texas - starting with the Governor and working down. I've already voted Dem at the state level, for the first time in over 3 decades of voting, although I would never vote Dem at the federal level (Zell excluded, of course). I would certainly vote against Graham in the Primary, if he keeps behaving like this - as I have voted against other Reps in the Primaries here in Texas.

"I think some are misguided, some are evil and some are both."

...and you are right. The leadership is clearly evil, while the rank and file does have some of both (with my mother being in the misguided category).

"They are also extremely smart"

They are not as smart as you give them credit for.

#1 They nominated a war protester to run for president when the country was looking for a strong war time president.

#2 They selected a nut like Howard Dean to run there party. He's the gift that keeps on giving.

They live in a cocoon of people who are like minded and they just don't understand how most of the country thinks. This is the only thing that can explain the two huge mistakes above.

Now if you are talking about Hillary, she's not so misguided. She's smart and cunning and, yes, evil. But most of the move-on bunch and the DUers just don't understand how most of America thinks.

"Frist will call a vote if the Democrats obstruct no matter what the RINO's do, of that I have no doubt." If Warner, McStain, Graham, and the spineless Republican moderates have their way, Frist wouldn't dare pull a trigger on a weapon that would falter. This is a very dangerous time for the Republicans what with so many suicidal moderate Pubbies warming seats in the Senate.

>>three Republicans have publicly denounced Frist's plan — Sens. John McCain (AZ), Olympia Snowe (ME), and Lincoln Chafee (RO). We need just three more to win and as many as six are still on the fence, including Sens. Arlen Specter (PA), Chuck Hagel (NE), John Warner (VA), and Susan Collins (ME). <<

Sens. Arlen Specter (PA), Chuck Hagel (NE), John Warner (VA), Sens. John McCain (AZ), Olympia Snowe (ME), Lincoln Chafee and Susan Collins (ME). I've often wondered what it feels like to be born with a fence post jammed between your cheeks.

" #1 They nominated a war protester to run for president when the country was looking for a strong war time president."

He did nearly win (60,000 votes switched in Ohio) - and it would have been ingenious if he did win.

" #2 They selected a nut like Howard Dean to run there party. He's the gift that keeps on giving."

You have a point there.

It does require a certain amount of discretion if you are going to vote for a Democrat. My agenda is to advance conservatism, but allowing these mavericks to run the Party puts a kink in that agenda. I wish McCain's re-election was in '06, so we could make the proper example of him. Take out the head and the rest would be scattered. Unfortunately his was last year. This is why I've been hoping someone would challenge Hagel or DeWine as a default. Graham if he keeps it up, though not certain if his race is in '06 or '08.

My preference is to kick them out in the primaries. However, I will admit upfront I want Chafee to lose. He doesn't support tax cuts. He doesn't support the war. He doesn't support the 'Constitutional Option'. He stated he would not vote for this President. And he's been weak on Bolton, only going forward because he needs to do something on our behalf to warrant funding for his re-election. IMO, it's time to cut him loose. We're essentially funding the race of a Democrat. Let the DNC spend the funds for the seat and divert the funds to a race where we'll get something more out of the investment.
