I wouldn't put much stock in it, but the two Arab guys in a liquor store chatting reminded me of the story of how a few of the 9/11 hijackers were in a bar bragging about "the event" a day or two before 9/11.

I remember hearing that, was it ever confirmed? Anybody know?

It's still worth a post until it's cleared. Sometimes there's a pattern - another person has heard the same etc. Best to put it out there and let it get shot down than to ignore something that might be important.
