The link above will get you to listen to the show. Just before the end of the last hour, Todd Schnitt took a call from "Doug" (?) I think that was his name. Schnitt is going to talk with him off the air.
The guy claims to have had personal contact with Muslim extremists who tell him a bomb will go off in the San Fernando valley in California "on the ninth"...though he says he is UNSURE of what MONTH on the "ninth".
I do NOT put much credibility into these claims--but I did want to post this in case anyone else wanted to listen to Schnitt and see what his "investigation" of the guy revealed. The guy DID CLAIM to have alerted the FBI about this.
Sorry if this is a big waste--Mods, if you think the thread should be pulled because it is hearsay, then that is fine with me. But it was on the radio in Florida and Texas, where Schnitt's show is aired. He is a fairly conservative radio talk show host.
Just make sure it's in LA. I love San Diego.

Okay. Schnitt is back on. "I have no idea...this guy might be out of his mind...the guy came on the air with a different intention, and then he began talking about a nuclear bomb plot on '24'..."

I stopped listening to Schnitt after his support for Michael Schiavo. Besides he always complains about working two shows.

Gee, most polls report that largest percentage of Californians oppose, War on Terror and Patriot Act. Guess where that puts them - in the cross hairs of Muslim Terrorists.
So why would they choose San Fernando valley? Seems like there are far more damaging targets.
San Diego, for example has many military bases (I live there.. please wait till I'm back from vacation, Mr. Terrorist. If I'm gonna get blown to bits, I'd at least like to have a little fun first.)
I do not listen to him regularly. He is a bit too strident and yes, a bit too lib on social issues for me. He was on in the car when I started it. (Rush's followup)

I wouldn't put much stock in it, but the two Arab guys in a liquor store chatting reminded me of the story of how a few of the 9/11 hijackers were in a bar bragging about "the event" a day or two before 9/11.

The San Fernando Valley is no more "blue" than is Manhattan. Perhaps less, as a matter of fact. But by your logic, the WTC event also deserves a "who cares?"
