I plan to vote against his son.

But don't be so quick. We'll get all these people. Mark my words. Many Freepers just want to feed the Dems an excrement sandwich. I understand the sentiments, but for now, I'll take a win, and another, and another.

No need to leave the GOP. Just keep sending the money to better candidates.

Words of wisdom. Look, the RINO'S were not going to support Frist. That is obvious. We need to replace THEM. Where was Hillary hiding??

We'll see. I think all the judges get confirmed now. And, more than that, Supreme Courts, too.

Just ridiculous how awful this is. I'm so sick of the POS's that are in our party. Reid is happy because he knwo the GOP got snookered. Just awful.

Me neither. And I'll make all Freepers this promise: if there are any shenanigans about ANY of these judges, I vote against the Republican in the OH senate in 2006---even if I have to vote for Jerry Springer.

I don't like Reid any more than anyone else here does but I really don't get the impression that he's thrilled with this deal either.

Welcome to Fantasy Island. The problem is the RNC. We gave them money and they gave a ton of it to many of those who sided with McCain.

Tell me... who is going to beat Collins or McCain?

"We'll get all these people."

I hope so, but seriously doubt it. The 7 RINOs promised not to vote for the constitutional option when Saad and Myers are filibustered, so that's two right there that were thrown overboard.

We could have gotten a complete capitulation . . . but a) it would come at even higher media cost for the precious "moderates"; b) we may be on the verge of quietly prying away a couple of Dems, not from the party, but from party-line votes.

This has been a LONG process, but, Estrada excepted, we appear to be winning every hand. Remember Sun Tzu.

This is the same exact deal they threw at us last week, the week before and the week before. If it works out the way you see it, why didnt they agree to it the first time it came up? I went back and re-read it and I still dont see where you are coming from. Am I missing something? help me out here, 'cause Im thinking the GOP just blinked...again..

There is “no commitment to vote for or against” the filibuster against two other conservative nominees, Henry Saad and William Myers.

So how is that "fed to the wolves"?

I.e., if the Democrats filibuster Bolton's nomination as ambassador to the U.N., Frist can use that to try to permanently terminate all filibusters.

How? By saying, "You promised,"...?

They won't gain unless we let them. This is a time to stick together, not fragment, or the Dems will really have won. If we bail, they'll come out on top, then where will we be? A nation of overtaxed, under-represented cogs in a morally bankrupt society, robbed of our Constitutional right to legislative process. Republican infighting is a victory for them. One of their main objectives has always been to disrupt cohesiveness among conservatives.
