ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Federal officials are scrambling to plug a legal loophole that allows convicted rapists and other high-risk sex offenders to receive erectile-dysfunction drugs paid for by Medicaid. The issue was revealed Sunday by the New York state comptroller's office, which said audits of the period from January 2000 to March 2005 found that 198 sex offenders in New York received Medicaid-reimbursed Viagra after their convictions. Their crimes included offenses against children as young as 2, Comptroller Alan Hevesi said.

Why is Medicaid paying for ANY Viagra for ANY person? Apparently, both fiscal AND social conservatism are dead in George W. Bush's "compassionate" America.

Not only are your tax dollars paying for Viagra for sex offenders, rapists etc.

But think about this, viagra for daddy's and mommy's on medicaid, which produces massive hospital bills to deliver babies born premature and than the massive hospital bills for the neonatal intensive care.

Thats all these welfare recepients need encouragement to have more welfare babies who grow up to be welfare recepients. All on our tax dollars.

Someone had better change the 1998 medicaid directive that they must cover viagra. WRITE CONGRESS TO CHANGE THESE INSANE MEDICAID DIRECTIVES that the dems put on the books.
