LOL

I don't get to watch much TV, so I missed that episode, but did Dr. Cox say that?

I'm going to try to remember to watch it tonight!

Jeff's last season is 3.

I might be out of whack on the chronology then- on the last season that aired in Canada Jeff was gone. I really identified with him ;-)

I love the views into JD's mind. That guy is totally neurotic! Funny stuff.

Quirky, and a little odd

You must like Arrested Development then (IMNSHO the funniest American sitcom ever produced).

This show sucks ass.

Of course, the part of the cute receptionist dating the a hole boyfriend rings true in every office.

Hmm...

Well the show pretty much ends when Susan has the baby. Sort of sucks... I'm hoping they will do a delayed season 5... But I know Jack Davenport (Steve) has been making some movies or some such nonsense.

LOL

I might have to tune in for that one.

The "original" BBC version of "The Office" was a pastiche of "People Like Us", a mockumentary series done first on BBC radio then on TV from 1999-2001. PLU was far more intelligent and funny than either "Office" franchise, IMO.

Big time! Our last receptionist was a serial a-hole dater who has restraining orders on every ex. Our current receptionist just had a baby with a chronically unemployed loser.

Just shoot me was pretty funny, but I think Scrubs is more original and quirky! You know what else I like about Scrubs? It always has that moral message at the end that used to be what TV was all about. Do you know what I'm talking about...JD always puts together the events in a way with a very good clear moral message about friendship, love, relationships. I think it's done very well.

It is a little lame. But not as lame as "Scrubs"

Scrubs lame?! Really?

I think it is the best show ever. It is a drama and a comedy at the same time. It always makes me laugh, and sometimes makes me cry.

I do admit to needing to watch a few episodes before I fell in love, though. NBC has changed its night often, so that took a while for it to happen. I never watched the first season, but it is out on DVD now, so I am catching up.

I was not impressed with the Office though. But maybe that needs to be watched more than once.

You think Scrubs is lame? Scrubs is the funniest, most original comedy on TV. You just don't know funny, my dear. Sorry.

I agree! its a riot even though it is a little silly

We bought the entire DVD collection. Some episodes I have seen countless times. I find new things to laugh at each time- the series is that good.

I've never seen it - if a person likes "Fawlty Towers," are they likely to like this? And does it have a laugh track?

Dr. Cox. He gets the best lines.

No laugh track.
My fiance LOVES Fawlty Towers, and he LOVES The Office. He's the one that turned me on to both.

OMG the face guard on that guy- priceless.

I happen to like that guy- he was a weird undertaker on Six Feet Under and I thought he was great.

I didn't like the BBC's The Office at first. The accents are sometimes difficult to understand. But the subtlety of the humor is just awesome. Give it another chance.
