NBC's version blows. I tried hard to like it but I guess I wasn't drunk enough.

Did you see the last two episodes of 'The Office'? It tied things up really well, I thought, especially the Dawn/Tim relationship.

The scene in the taxi where Dawn reads the card on the Secret Santa gift was really touching.

Plus, the boss on this show is my boss.

*shudder*

And I thought my boss was inept.

Actually one of my favorites in recent times was "Ed", about the bowling alley lawyer.

If we really want to go back, one of the best shows they ever did was a little frozen piece from Roslyn. "Northern Exposure". I used to wail when that show was on!

"People Like Us" was great! Unfortunately, the local PBS stations didn't advertise it well, and hid it on the schedule, so it never got much of a following.

I like the BBC "Office" much better than the NBC version.

By the way, the guy who plays the boss in the NBC version is Ellen DeGeneres' brother.

Fortunately, his days are numbered. But this show helps me cope 8-)

It's half as good as the original, which makes it twice as good as most TV.

And it 'feels' too much like work.

Who wants to work all day, then come home and watch an asinine show about work?

NBC - grasping

For the season, NBC plunged 19 percent in the 18-to-49 competition, finishing at a 3.5 rating, down from a 4.3 last season. Fox's winning rating was a 4.1, while CBS finished with a 4 rating and ABC had a 3.7. Among total viewers, NBC was also dead last, down 11 percent, to an average nightly audience of 9.8 million. Last year NBC averaged more than 11 million viewers a night. Each rating point in the 18-to-49 category is worth 1.3 million viewers.

CBS had just under 13 million total viewers for its seasonal average, with ABC at just over 10 million and Fox at 9.9 million.

Interesting info.

We only get one channel - NBC - so I can't rate the content with other networks.

I can comment on the content of NBC shows.

It's almost all junk.

I do like Law & Order, though I think it could be better. Other than that, It's junk.

I LOVE Scrubs. The humor on that show matches mine exactly. I felt the same way about "Andy Richter Rules the Universe," which unfortunately just disappeared into a black hole somewhere.

Get it? Black hole? Universe?

Never mind.

LOL I get it! Although I don't think I've ever seen that show. Though I did see the original "Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Universe"...
