THE bible as the word of God which lives in our hearts and soul. Do you think it's acceptable to take the life of someone who defaces or destroys a bible as Muslims do of the Koran.

Still, the Bible is something holy, in the sense that it is something set apart for God, and should be treated accordingly.

I'll ask the question again and restate it. Which do you think God holds in higher regard, a material poccession that can be replaced with a visit to the book store, or a human life. I don't recall a commandment stating thou shalt not kill unless it's someone who destroyed a bible.

Additionally, you are correct, "THE BIBLE" is something holy. It's an institution, but "A BIBLE" is paper, and ink between two pieces of cardboard. Get it?
