Democratic leaders claimed victory yesterday over the deal senators cut regarding filibusters of judicial nominees, while most Republicans said it violated their principles and conservative activists vowed retribution. Both Sens Lott and Graham (who are in hot water) said on FNC yesterday that a filibuster by the dems will end the agreement. Further blocking by the 7 democrats will end these two sens careers and they know it. McCain on the other hand walks on water.
It would be funny if McCain tried to run for president. Joe Scarborough and a few others said McCain is the big loser. Why? Because they think he is running for president of the USA, not the NYTimes. Well, if this deal works, and the 7 democrats get all Bushes judges through(hard to believe), then McCain deserves our support. If the deal breaks down, or all 7 Republicans sellout any Bush nominees(not likely), then McCain is rightly presidential toast. But he can still stay in the Senate and torture us.

I optimistically hope the number is higher than that. In terms of Senators, do you include Chambliss and Allen? Toomey was a good Rep, but he left to head a foundation after his loss to Specter. I think he should have stayed in the House, myself. Any good ones you'd care to mention? I could use some bolstering, about now.

I agree. We need to rebuild the party around stronger, more "untouchable" people (see my tagline). Elliot Ness's FBI men were known as "untouchables", not because they couldn't be shot down---that could be done and was. It was becasue they could not be bribed and blackmailed.

He takes a steady pounding not only from the communista and socialists but from members of this forum.
There are others that speak up but I can't think of their names right now.
What usually happens to those who stant for us is that when they speak up the Democrats pound them, then the Democrat's propaganda arm, the main stream media attacks them followed by some Republicans and then members of this forum pile on.
The wonder is, not that there so few that speak for us, but seeing the treatment they receive, that there any at all.
You're quite welcome. We on FR need to push the question of the files. Its all a matter of record and the witnesses are FBI agents. Imagine if Bush did something like this. Somehow, we have to get the story out to the American people.

Delay is a good example. A strong leader, so the Dems want to take him down. They have no ethics, so any tactic goes. I understand and accept that. This is the enemy we face. The MSM is not incompetent. They are, in fact pretty good at their job. People just don't realize that their job is to destroy America.
Like yourself, I am most bugged by the weak Repub response, esp. in the Senate and White House. House of Reps is not as bad. In 2006, we need to especially concentrate on DeWhine and any other Repub who joined the fillibusterbuster who is up for re-election in 2006.
Personally, I will focus on DeWine as I am nearby (Western Pa). We need to form a Western Pennsylvanian Republicans to dump DeWine in 2006 Primary organization.
