Undocumented immigrants cause a stir in West University (Houston, TX)

ABC13 Eyewitness News (6/01/05 - WEST UNIVERSITY, TX) — Residents in West University witnessed a chaotic and unsettling scene as close to 100 undocumented immigrants were released in their neighborhood.

It happened just after 4:30pm Tuesday. Police say a U-Haul truck pulled up to the intersection of Cason and Wakeforest and unloaded the undocumented immigrants. They also say the human smugglers pulled over after the immigrants locked in the back of the truck rocked it back and forth to get their attention.

"They said they'd been in the Houston area for about 24 hours, but they were in the U-Haul truck for about two hours," said Officer Chris Castillo with the Houston Police Department. "It was very hot today. They haven't eaten, haven't drank."

Police say the immigrants were from Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador. They each paid $4,000 to $6,000 to the smugglers to come into the country illegally.

The undocumented immigrants were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will likely be deported. (Copyright © 2005, KTRK-TV)

Pat Gray was talking about this just this morning (I bet Gunner heard him). He also noted that if you have four grand down in Mexico, you should oh, maybe, FEED YOUR FREAKIN' FAMILY. That might be a start to improving their lives.

The phrase "undocumented immigrants" never looked so silly as in this context. Illegal aliens or foreign trespassers would fit perfectly. Then we learn they will "likely" be deported. That's nitwitness news for you.

"We have Nicaragua, soon we will have El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Mexico. One day, tomorrow or five years or fifteen years from now, we're going to take 5 to 10 million Mexicans and they are going into Dallas, into El Paso, into Houston, into New Mexico, into San Diego, and each one will have embedded in his mind the idea of killing ten Americans." ~Thomas Borge, Nicaragua Interior Minister as quoted in the Washington Times, March 27, 1985

So...
Where is Borges now?

Together, these folks spent about a half a million dollars.

They should have stayed home and started on online store selling genuine Central American trinkets.

Nice try at hysteria. The person you quoted was a communist Sandanista, speaking in 1985. In case you haven't been paying attention, the opposite of what he predicted soon happened, as the Sandanistas lost power more than a decade ago and now have nothing. But they all look alike, so that's all that matters, right?

Diddle, you can google Thomas Borge, and find that quote in a number of places.

So what? The fact remains that he was a Sandanista communist talking about spreading communism, that instead the Sandanistas lost power, and that you are trying to imply and insert a different meaning into his statement.

*poor* illegals PAID 4K to 6K each...

I wonder if they have to pay up front?

The undocumented immigrants [from Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador] were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will likely be deported released.

Yes, I believe some illegals here are here to do exactly that. I also believe that radical hispanic lobbies are working toward that end as well. Furthermore, there are many examples of radical hispanic lobbies that promote violence towards American citizens. So, yes, I think that is one thing that is part of Vicente Fox's policy to push his people here to America. Are all of them here to murder us? Don't think so. All illegals are not Mexican, and no, just so you know, they don't all look alike. I could provide some family pictures if you like. Also, it is interesting to study the predominate political parties in Mexico and Central America.. and yes, it's predominately communist IMO.

You might look at the charters of LaRaza, Maldef, Mecha/Mexa to get an idea of what they think of our laws and America / Americans' in general.

I could provide an informational link about those groups and who funds them if you like.

some = 1 in 1,000

There are likely more Islamic radicals coming across to work in terror cells than hispanics seeking to "kill for communism." But the vast, vast majority are simply coming to seek a better life and gain the benefits of living here. Doesn't excuse the illegality, but hysteria and hyperbole only undermine the efforts to secure the border, because a) people don't like being lied to, and b) it gives the other side ammunition to undermine and discredit your voice and arguments, while changing the subject.

So why not just stick to the facts that they are coming here illegally, and that porous borders are a huge security risk? Isn't that reason enough to secure the borders?

Wait, the cops called La Migra? They obviously haven't established Houston as a sanctuary city yet. If this had happened in Los Angeles, the LAPD would have given them rides to whatever business was hiring them.

I think your numbers are off.

I think your premise is incorrect.

I'm not the hysterical one here. Simply posting a quote, and hoping even the ignorant can see the implications of OTM's coming here for less honorable purposes than providing for a family..of course they should follow the law in that case, and it has worked in the past.. so for those that choose not to follow the law, they implicate themselves WITH those that may be doing so for reasons differnt than those that follow the law.

I am not changing the subject.. it is all part and parcel of the same problem with unprotected borders.

If you don't agree with me, that is fine.

BTW, I am using facts. If you have something to the contrary, post it. If AlQueda is not feared to be coming in mixed in with 'nice' illegals, I would love to know who lives in that world. Congress has recieved briefings from Director Mueller himself on the same subject.

But I do enjoy lectures that teach me something I don't know. So please pass along anything new.

Done.

So with the encouragement of the U.S. government and with the financial support of major U.S. corporations and foundations, LULAC, MALDEF, MEChA/MEXA, and La Raza, pillars of the radical ''Hispanic'' lobby, successfully and aggressively promote hatred of the history, identity, culture, language, and laws of the United States.
