The "message" has always been cloudy. With Live Aid, most of the donations never got to the people who needed it. Instead, it kept the corrupt and brutal government of Ethiopia in power another 7-8 years, according to a monitor of these things who was on O'Reilly last night. His advice: Don't donate to these things. Go through proven agencies instead. These rock stars only care about what comes in--they don't care what happens to it after that.
