Yes, it is. Maybe we should just declare Monday "National Pi$$ on the Qu'ran" Day and get it over with.

Sounds good to me but I will have to have my husband do it.

"this scares me because it is such a concerted effort, with the Dems, the media pushing so hard. My hope is that they are pushing too hard and people get sick of this crap"

They don't understand that their actions are putting power in the hands of those who will destroy this country. I'd like to say, "Wait and it will come back to haunt them," but unfortunately, their words and behavior will come back to haunt all of us.

Who cares? Give me just one case of killing three year-old Dana Falkenburg that they apologize for.

Excuse me while I go to B&N and purchase some Korans for practice.

For maximal effect, make sure you get one printed in Arabic. If it's in English, it's not a "real" Koran.

Bacon grease and dog s**t are probably the worst things you can put on it. Maybe you can do the doorbell/flaming dog-poo trick at your local mosque with a Koran.

I would defile a thousand or more Korans to bring back Dana and her 8 y/o sister Zoe.

All Muslims aren't terrorists, but the *root* of the terrorism problem we're currently facing is Islam.

There is something about that belief system which at the very least *enables* terrorism. If Muslims had really wanted to define themselves as peaceful they would have quashed their terrorists and sympathizers of terrorists a long time ago.

Now if these guards had just done that with a Bible they could have obtained a government grant for their "performance art!

I agree, but Christians haven't quashed the various wrongdoers in its midst, either. It's all about individual, not group, responsibility.

Let's not create a standard for Muslims we aren't prepared to live by ourselves. If we're honest, we can't say that Christians have snuffed out all the evildoers in our midst.

I expect Muslims to stomp on the terrorists in their midst, to speak out against terror. They haven't. But most Muslims have no more say over the actions of other Muslims than most Christians do over other Christians.

It doesn't let them off the hook, it's just an observation of reality.

They make it seem as though this is the first time thats happened ever. Its probably been happening in Israeli and Indian prisons for a very long time.
Whats the big deal? its just a stupid book. :)

There are a lot of sympathisers of terrorism in islam. Our fav dictator also justifies terror by saying the underlying "causes" need to be fixed. ya right.. more urine needed. :-)

So the Newsweek report was -- for all intents and purposes -- accurate?

Newsweek screwed up the story big time. They went fast and loose with a rumor, got important facts wrong and inspired fatal riots.

Among the things they misreported was that it was a DETAINEE that ripped up the book and tried to flush it down the toilet. I suspect that might have made a difference in world opinion.

Further one wonders why it was not reported that the military took the complaints seriously and disciplined soldiers who violated policy.

Let's see - the Muzzies themselves use it for toilet paper and other forms of desecration - and no-one blinks. A simple RUMOR of a US serviceman doing anything REMOTELY like desecration (including not storing it correctly) and the world is up in arms.

Not at all.
Not at all what? Are you used to expressing yourself in half thoughts?

We can be as angry as we want about this story, and the terrorists, but most Muslims aren't terrorists.
All terrorists are muslim, however, and that's close enough as to not matter. In addition, for every cockroach who is killed, there are a hundred in the corners pretending to be human beings, but providing the necessary logistics, planning, supplies, information, moral, physical and financial support.
Not all Germans were Nazis, and not all Japanese were war criminals. Is there a rational point in that observation? Anywhere?

Flame away, but it's the truth.
How about if I laugh instead? Your intellectual pantry is bare; playing the cool, calm and "reasonable" random person is an impersonation I ain't buying.
As for the trite phrase, "it's the truth", don't you realize how lame that is? e.g. "...muslims are a cross between cockroaches and maggots; and that's the truth..."

See you later, I'm training my dog...
