The first snowfall on this part of the world has claimed one life and caused extensive damage to properties. Puntland, northeastern part of Somalia has never recorded snowfall before last night when snow storms with high winds destroyed homes in Rako town.
The storm left a blanket of snow on the ground, something residents had never seen in their lives before. Aside from this unexplained snowfall on this tropical land, Somalia has experienced very strange weather in the past few months.
Floods killed people and forced rivers to overflow banks in almost all parts of the country. Many cities from Hargeisa in the north to Baladweyn in central were affected badly by heavy rains and floods. Many people were killed and thousands of livestock washed away by this strange weather. The country is still struggling to recover from last months killer weather.
With no effective central government, Somalia doesnt have weather prediction or climate monitoring systems in place. Somalis think this unusual weather and last nights previously unheard of snowfall are part of the global warming phenomena.
global warming. Bush's fault
Allah's fault for people worshiping a false religion....
Cold day in hell! Does this mean Susan is dating me again?
Well, you know the old saying, "It'll be a cold day in hell when it snows in Somalia."
Now I'm convinced.
It snowed for christmas in SOUTH TEXAS last year. koooooooooky
Isn't Somalia where they are having children sold into slavery still???
So the Somalis are Democrats. Now, who da thunk it?

Well, we also know that Schwarzenagger is now on board with Somalis--believing in the global warming....
This story is BS. Daytime temperatures in Somalia are currently in the 90's.
Just like Pavlov's dogs. Even the Somalis know that they'll get more camera time and aid if they say the magic words.
You're probably thinking of the Sudan, but it is happening in Somalia (and everyother Islamic arm-pit on Earth) as well...
"Somalis think this unusual weather and last nights previously unheard of snowfall are part of the global warming phenomena."
Well, naturally when it gets very cold and snows, one should immediately assume this is caused by a warming phenomena.
I rather suspect it is just Allah pissed off at the Somalies for something or another. Probably because they haven't rioted yet over the the fact that some US soldier kicked a Quran half a world away.
