RAT 'survey' sounds like an act of desperation (Pelosi pushes Marxist cry of class struggle)

'Survey' sounds like an act of desperation

Here, in the mail, comes an invitation -- but not to clear economic thinking. To class envy, maybe. Or even to the old Marxist cry of class struggle.

"Protecting Social Security retirement benefits promised to America's seniors is more important than keeping the tax cuts promised to America's wealthiest. Agree? Disagree? Not sure?"

That purports to be a survey question. Democrats are receiving it all across the land. But what do tax cuts have to do with Social Security?

**SNIP**

President Bush has a plan. Democrats apparently have a plan, too: Throw ice on Bush's plan. Or, as they put it in another "survey" question: "President Bush's privatization will cut benefits promised to seniors by as much as 46 percent. How worried are you about making ends meet in retirement?"

<**SNIP**

An intriguing fundraiser this. It's pitched to the little guy level, not the Democrats' big bankrollers, labor unions, Hollywood, or George Soros billionaire types. Gifts of just $35 are "urgently needed," addressees are told.

But woven through all the implied promises -- that a cleaner environment, better jobs, schools and health care all are compatible with lower budget deficits -- is a shockingly leftist style of rhetoric. The president is accused of a "radical, mean-spirited agenda" and Congress under Republican control is dubbed "the most arrogant, unethical and corrupt in modern history."

The signature of U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Cal., House minority leader, is on the mailing. Can that sophisticated lady really believe a "Republican assault on America and the foundations of America" is in progress. And that the "GOP's arrogance, corruption and ruinous, right-wing policies have left millions of Americans out in the cold"?

Who do RATS chat with to get financial advice - billionaire RATS or poor RATS?

I heard a CATO Institute commercial on Social Security yesterday. It ended with the motto: Ownership, inheritability, and choice. Short and sweat; I liked it.

Ownership, inheritability, and choice

Three things at total odds with the demonRATS socialist/communist agenda. I hear the demonRATS screams every time the President says those 2 little word...OWNERSHIP SOCIETY.

I heard that commercial as well. Very simple and logical. I hope it gets lots of play. As to this groveling 'survey', it is a good sign of the 'rats' problems, and how they compound them. Playing only to the base, the survey lies. Those lies are easily refuted (as shown quickly on this thread). Over time, recipients will learn of those lies and resent them. They will not be loyal to the 'rats and look elsewhere. Meanwhile, the GOP is reaching out with ideas....
