Boy "I will allow ONLY a SINGLE home town (liberal) newspaper UNMONITORED (unverified) access to ONLY those records ALREADY AT THE NAVY DEPT" a is VERY different statement than "I am releasing all my records."

The second allows everybody to research what they want to.

The first permits the hometown paper to filter out ANY BAD NEWS they want to ignore. And, if "leads" are found, the reporter (unbiased of course) can't investigate further than the documents already in the Navy Dept - assuming (of course) that the reporter actually wants to investigate his democrat "war hero" at all.

Cover up.

Because Kerry is DEMOCRAT/COMMUNIST he can get away with the lies.
Because Bush is CHRISTIAN/REPUBLICAN he is held to a higher standard.

The ONLY way to obtain a true and complete version of the file is to have Senator Kerry sign a release and an SF180 allowing the bearer of the SF180 to obtain any and all of his Military Service Records from the National Personnel Records Center, a branch of the National Archives. The NPRC is the only Government organization that has and can release a copy of his complete personnel file.

"Kerry definitely has something to hide... this is nothing but a whitewash, and Old Media won't dig in even half as deep as they bothered to with Bush's ANG records."

For sure; and of course, they knew they had to include a little 'red meat' so the Harvard record of 'D's makes it. . .but of course, GW's is only a little better; so that was a safe call.

Sickening people they are. . .hope O'Reilly and Shawn do not go for this.

Rush surely will not go for the 'full' disclosure. . .so no problem there.

I knew he'd never sign a form 180, the lyin sack of dung.

Time for Tim Russert to have John O'Neill on his show to explain that in fact, Kerry lied to him.

Because Bush is CHRISTIAN/REPUBLICAN he is held to a higher standard.

Jesus said, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own." (John 15:18-19)

Truly, President Bush is held to a higher standard. Thank God.

Here's more info from powerline:

On the mixed-up files of John Kerry reader John Boyle writes:

I have been yelling since last year that the Navy does not have Kerry's records, nor does DoD.

The Navy has always been Kerry's hide-out. The Navy is covered by the Privacy Laws. You're a lawyer, right? The SF 180 is generically addressed to the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. These records are 30 to 40 years old. They are history! They do not stay at Navy Personnel Command forever.

It seems to me that all of Kerry's tortured rhetoric on this subject attests to the fact that he was having his records vetted, in spite of the public claim to openness. How to accomplish this? Tell the NPRC, on the SF 180, that the designated recipient of the records is to be a federal Agency (subject to the Privacy Laws) - the Navy!

Then, Kerry or his people get to vet the records at the Navy's offices, allow release of what they want by another required waiver separate from the SF 180, withhold what they don't want out there, and the Navy cannot comment on the process, their holdings - or their withholdings!

The trick is in whom he designated to receive the outflow from NPRC. Read the opening of Kranish's article again:"The records, which the Navy Personnel Command provided to the Globe..."

This is not rocket science, yet no one seems to understand what was done here.

I am SHOCKED and greatly offended the someone compared reporters to "butt wipes" & Kerry to a "sack of crap." It is HIGHLY offensive to both the butt wipes as well as the sack & crap to be compared to reporters & Johnny Boy. What ever did crap, butt wipes or a sack do to you guys?

We should all demand a simple thing- we'd like to see the F180 that he signed!

What could be the harm in that? Let's give him something new to stonewall!

But why can't we see the details of the release form? Why not put a scan of it on your website, John?

Perhaps the Globe reporter could show us the form, let's ask him!

Jean Fraude will never accept the #2 position on the 'Rat ticket.

I heard last night on "Hardball" that Cheney will run for the 'Ican nomination. A Cheney/Rice ticket is my dream ticket.

The latest from PowerLine....Thomas Lipscomb (JWR) supposedly working on it.

On the mixed-up files of John Kerry

Reader John Boyle writes:

I have been yelling since last year that the Navy does not have Kerry's records, nor does DoD.

The Navy has always been Kerry's hide-out. The Navy is covered by the Privacy Laws. You're a lawyer, right? The SF 180 is generically addressed to the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. These records are 30 to 40 years old. They are history! They do not stay at Navy Personnel Command forever.

Boyle followed up with the following message:

I want to give you another shot on this, just to be sure you understand. It is crystal clear obvious to me, yet very few people seem to get it...is it how I 'splain it?

The SF 180 is actually a request for "Report of Separation" and all such documents are in the sole custody of the National Personnel Records Center, in St. Louis - not the branch in which the veteran served (in this case the Navy). And the character of Kerry's "separation" (discharge) from the Navy is obviously the document(s) that are hot.

The SF 180 directs the National Personnel Records Center to release records, at the request of the documented veteran, and send them to whomever he designates (usually himself) - period. What is the Navy doing in the middle of this? The Navy must have been the designated recipient, on this specific SF 180 (not the Boston Globe, as Kranish explicitly admits). As a Federal entity, the Navy is then subject to Privacy Laws and any release by them had to be additionally waived by Kerry - or not. He could then easily not waive specific documents for release that he found damaging. What the Boston Globe got was the remainder of whatever the Navy received from NPRC, less what Kerry wished to withhold.

It may be that the Globe is unaware of this game; although I wrote about this at length last week to their reporter Joan Vennochi, who had written that Kerry's 180 was in the pipeline, in order to alert the Globe to what was afoot.

A real shell game.

We have it on good authority that ace reporter Thomas Lipscomb is working the story of the Globe and Kerry's records as well. Until Lipscomb's stories surface, we'll try mull over Boyle's explanations.

The Dimocrats were stupid enough to elect him in the first place so would they not have enough stupid left to keep him there now.

The Dimorcrats are a loose organization of many different antisocial, anti-American groups backed by the fifth column so called Main Stream Press.

Remember the so called MSM no longer thinks for it's self. They get up every morning and read the New York Slimes to see what todays talking points that should be regurgitated in their media.

So guess what brother Conservative, the New York Slimes gets it's marching orders from the most radical wing of the Dimocratic party. Ole Junior Scumburger over at the Slimes hasn't got a clue about fairness. He is an ACLU wannabe and a knee jerk follower of the king do-Goober himself James Earl Carter.

Do you remember many news organizations having an original idea about news. No I think not.

Gee whiz posters lets leave Deaniac in place.

His ignorant rantings have done more for Republicans than all the incompetence of those awful James Earl Carter and his do-Goober years.
