I don't think that Villepin realizes that France's worst enemy is....France.

Gallic rhymes with another word that is descriptive of Chirac and his cronies...

Apparently it includes spending extra money to keep the French safe from Anglo-Saxon liberalism and free markets! The essence of the Gallic genius is a stubborn aversion to reality.

a "suffering, impatient and angry" nation

Frustrated, too. Like everybody else on the planet.

"...announced €4.5bn (£3bn) of extra money to achieve it.
But he insisted that an increasingly heated public debate about the shortcomings of France's high-tax, high-protection social model compared with the more liberal Anglo-Saxon system was irrelevant..."

So they will take billions of dollars from the employers of France, and this is the "Gallic genius" which will save them.

Blahahahaaha!

Their doomed.

sniff! sniff! Is that surrender I smell?

Gallic genius probably means surpressing everything American and returning to the true path. That means internet in French only, no English. And, all the evil American influences, McDonalds, CNN, American movies and any English language will have to go. The Muslim stuff is OK. Yep, I think the froggie has got the key!
