sin is sin - but those who have accepted Jesus and are following Jesus through His Word DAILY are washed in His blood.
More severe penalties? HOW SO? It's hell or heaven.
Defending and then repenting is not what is happening here.
Not sure what you are saying that I haven't already said - of course the Bible is full of warnings about sin. How else would we know about sin.
Christians are quite capable of choosing sin/defending it - AND? THAT MAKES IT RIGHT? We are sinners by nature BUT Christians choose to turn away DAILY under the conviction of the HOLY Spirit.
Christians DAILY take up the cross - turn from flesh DAILY, fall DAILY AND REPENT DAILY, and are led by the Holy Spirit. Their faith grows DAILY. Somehow, you want to dump anyone that says they are Christian, while deliberately and boastfully living a sinful lifestyle, under the same umbrella as those who choose a lifestyle following Him rather than following one's own fleshly desires.
Without Christ in my life who knows where I would be - I am not any better than anyone else but I am BLESSED because of my choice.
There will be a time when some call evil good and good evil and that time is here now.
You're kidding right?
You don't know that in the Bible God prescribes the death penalty for some sins and for others He prescribes merely restoring property to the offended party?
Why would God prescribe more severe penalties for some sins if He didn't consider them worse?
Whoever said it "MAKES IT RIGHT"?
My point was that we can't judge a person as NOT being a Christian because they happen to fall into sin.
With all due respect, you really need to keep track of what the dialog is about so you can respond to a poster's actual statements.
Just a suggestion.
