It's quads - again

29may05 A QUEENSLAND woman is pregnant with quads for the second time in what is believed to be a world first.

Dale Chalk, 26, is due to give birth to her second consecutive set of quads in December.

Mrs Chalk and her husband Darren, 34, a security guard, became parents to quads last August using an anonymous sperm donor through the Queensland Fertility Group. They also have a daughter, Shelby, 2, conceived using the same donor.

After the birth of her first set of quads – Ellie, Emma, Joseph and Samuel, who were born 13 weeks early – Mrs Chalk said they wanted as many as 12 children and she would be delighted if she had another set of quads.

"If we had quads again that would be the bees' knees," she said at the time.

Collect the whole set!

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Where is the insanity if, as it says in the article, they WANTED a lot of children?

Those poor people won't get a decent nights sleep for the next 50 years! Sheesh! You really gotta want 'em to take such risks.

I scratched my head when I read this:

Mrs Chalk and her husband Darren, 34, a security guard...

But it became clearer when I read this:

The family lives with Mrs Chalk's parents, who extended their house to fit the new grandchildren.

I wonder if grandpa has any say in all of this?

Well, not in repeating, but in not realizing what it entails. Can they remain sane with eight toddlers running around? I wouldn't have made it. Twins were enough.

Ever see the show on TLC "14 kids and pregnant again!"

Strange family.

The one thing that I never saw mentioned in the show was what the father did for a living to afford 15 kids and a stay at home wife. Or how they were affording to build a massive new home for everyone.

Is there a 100 year time warp in Queensland?

Snort! Now that I've shot coffee out of my nose, I probably do, too.

"her husband Darren, 34, a security guard,"

How is a security guard pulling down enough to feed 11 people?

As the father of 2.5 year old twins, lemme say "Congratulations!"

That, and "Get them on a schedule QUICKLY, else they will run your life!"

I'm envisioning a conveyor belt diaper changing assembly line and 4 seater rotating high-chairs.

Get on the trolly sockhop. That's what all the hip young kids are saying now-a-days.

No I can't. After 1 hour, i would be in the corner mumbling incoherently. They would be taking me on a one way trip to the "Straight Jacket Hilton".
