THE ISSUE...

The Radical Left – led by MoveOn.org, Michael Moore and others – are continuing the outrageous attacks on President Bush. In fact, many are starting to beat the drum for impeachment! Meanwhile, the mainstream media is already proclaiming President Bush a “lame duck.” We expect a full assault on this Presidency in the coming weeks.

But these attacks aren’t just about defeating our President. These radical attacks are damaging to our brave fighting forces and in a real way put our troops who are fighting for our freedoms at even greater risk.

Immediate Action: SIGN OUR SUPPORT THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF PETITION.

Grassfire is hoping to rally 500,000 freedom-loving citizens who stand together against radical, anti-war attacks against our President and his ongoing efforts to rid the world of terrorist threats.

The only way this will ever get to first base is if the Dems regain control of Congress in 06.

The Radical Left – led by MoveOn.org, Michael Moore and others (i.e. Al Franken)...

Whew!

I was worried for a minute there.

The House has to draw up Articles of Impeachment, and the Senate has to conduct the Impeachment Trial.

Good luck with Republicans controlling both houses. The only difference is if Bush ever does do something that is truly impeachment worthy, Republicans will impeach him. Unlike DemocRATS who close ranks with drunken manslaughters and former klansmen.

Very good points, Jim. I wrote about this a few days ago.

Impeach Bush
William T. Stewart
www.wtstewart.blogspot.com

Do you get the feeling that we are heading in the direction of liberals attempting to impeach President Bush? I do. And if you have been listening carefully to the news, over the last few weeks, you feel the same as I.

Ever since Watergate and Vietnam, the liberals in this country have had one playbook or template that they use. All Republican Presidents=Nixon and all wars we get involved in=Vietnam. And very soon the talks of impeachment will soon be the topic of all the big shows, like Hardball. I can picture Chris Matthews trying to act professional about such a silly accusation. "What did Bush know and when did he know it?" and blah blah blah.

And don't forget the liberal street, which I compare very much with the Arab Street. I know you remember all the wild claims that "10's of thousands of US soldiers would die in Iraq." They warned of blood flowing through the streets and all kinds of other nonsense. And one of my favorites: "Bush is evil," just like Nixon. (I wasn't alive during Nixon's terms, but to hear the bad things that liberals say about him, as compared with what they say about Bush, I wonder if he was really that bad after all!)

And what are they going to try and impeach him for? Abu Ghraib, of course! What about the fact that "Bush lied and kids died." And don't forget that he went into Iraq "for oil." And let's definitely not forget the horrible things that he has ordered our soldiers to do down in Gitmo, Cuba. Oh, those things are worse than Abu Ghraib.

Mark my words, impeachment talks are coming. The liberal media will eventually create this story.

But the good news is that it will not work. We no longer live in the 1970's, a time when the liberal media had the power to dictate the information that Americans would receive, a time when they were able to convince Americans that Vietnam was not worth the effort, a time when they could lie about things such as the Tet offensive. Yes, those days are long gone. Their effort won't work. But that will not keep them from trying.

Stay tuned...

You didn't say anything that I could read about what they are trying to impeach him with.

Apparently on June 16th John Conyers is going to bring his letter to the White House. Someone please give this EGOMANIAC some work to do. He was voted in by the people to do the people's work and not to bring around false accusations by the BRITISH media. There is going to be a rally in D.C. by the Anti-American group called Progressive Democrats of America.

My thought, exactly. But, don't confuse liberals with facts and reality -- it gets them really upset --- :-)

If Nixon hadn't resigned, they probably would have managed to impeach him, even though he basically did nothing wrong.

But since Watergate the press has steadily lost credibility, until a news reporter is about as respected as a tort lawyer.

They have tried again and again to work up a propaganda campaign to destroy Bush. It has undoubtedly diminished his popularity, but it has not succeeded in eliminating his majority support. The more desperate they get, they less power they have. I dare say that Karl Rove and the rest of the Bush team are fully prepared for the worst they can come up with.

The Senate is required to conduct the trial so long as the House impeaches, which will never happen even if the Dems retake the House.

I think it's cute, their little impeachment effort.

It's sort of like the neighborhood kids building a moon rocket or staging a "Broadway" show.

"They aren't going to impeach Bush."

No. But they may very well try. The Democrats understand very well that when you're losing, the best way to react is to go on the offensive.

They always attack. Always.

Doesn't it take a 2/3 vote just to start procedings for impeachment?

Some wacko Democrats tried to introduce impeachment article against President Reagan after the invasion of Grenada and again after the revelations of Iran-Contra. It's as predictable as the sun rising and setting.

We expect a full assault on this Presidency in the coming weeks.

Coming weeks? The MSM has been in assault mode since President Bush has been in office.
