Okay, I did that and it didn't give me any stop signs or anything, but it does say
system error records 512
application error records 512
security audit records 512
You need to click down on the "leaf" under the "Event viewer" label, that say "Application", "Security", and "System".
You should see a number of lines that lead with "error", "information", "warning", etc.
The one marked "system" is probably the most significant to what you are looking for.
