Phil Jackson Returning to Coach Lakers

Phil Jackson, who guided the Lakers to four Finals appearances in five seasons but was cast adrift last June, will be reintroduced as coach of the team this afternoon at a 2 p.m. news conference at Staples Center.

Gads, why would any coach want to be Kobe's whipping boy? For the Lakers fans: Has Kobe wised up at all? Humbled himself? If not, you're in for another looooong season. What with the Suns cruising to the 2005-06 championship and all.

I always cringe when they compare his record with Auerbach's, and I'm not even a Celtics fan.
