PHOENIX(AP) -- Nearly 80 illegal immigrants, including women and children, were found crammed in a large horse trailer in downtown Phoenix on Tuesday.
The people inside told police they had been traveling for about two days and had little to eat or drink during that time.
The tempatures in the Pheonix area have topped 100 degrees over the last couple of days. The trailer had no air conditioning.
The group included 68 men and women and 11 children, including a 4-month-old baby. None required hospitalization.
A Phoenix police officer found the immigrants after spotting the trailer in an alley and seeing a man running away from the scene. He found the people packed inside.
And.....are they being trucked back to Mexico yet? Just because this was an inhumane way to transport them to Phx doesn't mean that they have earned a right to avoid our laws.
This certainly could have turned out worse, could have been almost 100 dead people.
I imagine by the time summer's over, there will be. I blame employers who use illegals for putting people thru this. The blood is on their hands, for the love of money is the root of all evil. They don't care about these people, just making an easy buck.

We wouldn't want to blame those who enter this country illegally now, would we? If you didn't have all of that valuable stuff in your house no one would want to break in. Your fault that there are burglars.

Depends on the size of the trailer...I have a neighbor whose trailer will hold that many and more, easily, as long as they're not carrying any personal belongings.

Hmmm...14th and Polk...a mile or so west of the airport, about the same east of BOB...
