Tom Brinkman and Jean Schmidt are the best candidates in the race.

DeWine was expected to win easily because of his name recognition and the crowded field despite severe problems with his candidacy. Then daddy's great compromise irritated us ignorant rabble. After that, Pat went nasty in a debate against McEwen and on the air against McEwen and Brinkman which really exposed his electoral and personal character weakenesses to the voters.

We know DeWine's toast. He's behind everyone in Hamilton even.

Your link is not counting Hamilton's precincts though, even though it's their site. For some reason, they are using a seperate link for their own county results. This is going to be close. Schmidt's trailing Brinkman by 500 there. McEwen trailing Brinkman by 1100.

Looks like it's still possibly a 3-wayer depending on the population in Hamilton, although it still looks good for McEwen.

It's a mistake to blame it all on Mike DeWine's support for the filibuster compromise. Pat DeWine made his own bed, in more ways than one.
