The following is a statement from Texas A&M University regarding recent news reports about the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9-11.
Dr. Morgan Reynolds is retired from Texas A&M University, but holds the title of Professor Emeritus-an honorary title bestowed upon select tenured faculty, who have retired with ten or more years of service. Additionally, contrary to some written reports, while some faculty emeriti are allocated office space at Texas A&M, Dr. Reynolds does not have an office on the Texas A&M campus. Any statements made by Dr. Reynolds are in his capacity as a private citizen and do not represent the views of Texas A&M University. Below is a statement released yesterday by Dr. Robert M. Gates, President of Texas A&M University:
"The American people know what they saw with their own eyes on September 11, 2001. To suggest any kind of government conspiracy in the events of that day goes beyond the pale.
TxPing
Gates' way of saying this guy doesn't represent Texas A&M in any way shape or form...and he is a nutcase!

Good to learn that universities now have opinions.
"Released by Dr. Robert M. Gates".....

"He served as Director of Central Intelligence from November 6, 1991 until January 20, 1993."
Interesting if not significant release means.
Looks like Dr. Morgan Reynolds got the big smack down from Tx A&M on his wacky statements.
I would say that Dr. Morgan Reynolds might be suffering from early onset Alzheimer's and needs to seek medical attention for his condition.
That's the only explanation I can think of for his stupid remarks.
Like them maroon letters, bub!

It's so refreshing to read a statement from an academic that doesn't end in a BUT... (as in "but it's all our fault") Go, Aggies!
A great sigh of relief from all the Aggies, I'm sure....
As a Longhorn, I tip my hat nevertheless to this Aggie. Good work putting some distance between your school and that insanity. There's one thing that you don't associate with A&M and that's a lack of patriotism.
Just goes to show the kind of people who have dominated the US university system - guys so far out in left field that they have seats in the top row of the bleachers.
You got THAT right. Whoop!

Daly, the UPI reporter, and Gates, Pres of A&M) have a difference on whether Reynolds has an office at A&M. The UPI story clearly claims:
>>>"Reynolds commented from his Texas A&M office,"
Also, the correct way to refute this guy's comments is to point out his lack of background (economist?) to make any such claim.
Even, if there were controlled explosions there are plausible scenarios how Al Qaeda was the culprit (see their first attempt).
Hoppy
"They found a skeleton behind some bushes at A&M. The police suspected foul play until they found out it was the 1963 Hide-and-go-Seek champion."
The first time I heard that one, I kicked the slats......
out of my mother.
