I'm impressed. There have been several moves lately showing some Republicans have cojones. I hope it's a trend that grows and not just a breeze that fades.
Lots of fluffy language there, but it does the job!
(I'd just call him a b@stard...)
McCain's hatred for the GOP base has turned him into dirt. Serves him right.
He could well have a deal with Hillary for a close postiton in her presidency. Maybe even VP.
That would explain why he endorsed so strongly Bush over Kerry (because a Kerry win would have killed Hillary's chance).
I got some bones to pick with Arizona District 11.
How's about you guys build a freakin' gas station.
Also, it should be possible to drive 41 miles per hour on your largest street without tripping that damn photo radar.
This echos my own feelings about McCain. I agree he must be stopped. He's a loose cannon.
That sounds like a more plausible motive than his own run in '08
Maybe we're feeding into it with this, just what he wants.
We should instead be painting him as a vicious conservative - unacceptable to the democrats as a running mate.
Right. McCrazy and Hitlery.
Can you imagine the landslide buttkicking they'd endure.
But I suppose "it could happen!"
Uh huh.
Made my freakin' day!!
Yep. There's been a lot of conservative constituents writing letters and making phone calls registering disgust with McCain.
Next, we need come cajones to grow in Nebraska, Ohio, Maine, Virginia, Pennsylvania...........purify the party of RINOs.
Whoa is that pic for real? That looks like the worst case of allergies I've ever seen lol.
BFD! As long as Arizona keeps electing him to the Senate how can sane people keep him off the stage?
The constituents speaking out is the only way anything will change. One side-effect of the thorough destruction of the medias credibility is that the only believable source of public opinion are individual initiatives--polls, internet "polls" and mass-mailings are just as full of it as CBS. But when real live people call and leave their names and numbers...it could lead to a whole new era of accountability, or at least of responsive representation.
You are 100% correct. Sticking to the thread, McCain may have suffered at the Hanoi Hilton, but that was a different life from where he's at now. One has to wonder how he has the gall to call himself a Republican with his actions as of late. John, you can't be had for treason, but we might come after you for sedition....He'd better sart listening to his base.
I concur. The man absolutely is a hero because of what he endured in VN. However, in a little more subtle fashion than sKerry, he touts this constantly. The media eats it up and portrays him as a hero. That is quite a contrast to how they treated Jim Stockdale (H. Ross Perot's running mate). Both men suffered as VN POWs. Both men are heroes of titanic proportions. Only one of the pair are respected by the media, though.
