Thank you, Nan. My folks would be in their 70's now
Yes, you are blessed with a lovely, close family. Beautiful photo, DD
Beautiful photo Amy. Having met you, I can see how much you look like your Mom
It sounds as though you had an exciting Father's Day. I 'll bet the farm that your daughter was impressed with her Daddy's wisdom. Life is good.
Thank you ..... I think I look more like my Mom every year.
It is fun to remember our Dads by posting their pictures.
Great Tribute to three great men Snugs.. I take it your dad is a soccer enthusiast? Today I had lunch in a mexican restaurant.. It was between lunch/dinner time (3:30 ) and there were very few people in the restaurant. There was a soccer match on between Mexico & Brazil. The latin workers were all cheering, yelling etc.. It was fun to watch. They were obviously rooting for mexico. Sundays is normally a late meal as I go w/Oliver for fairly long walk in woods behind church. It is a merging of metro parks & golf course. I am usually pretty messy and tired & hugry when I finish. A friend joined me at chruch today & for the hike & took me to lunch. The weather was heavenly. Low 70s & sunny.
Love the pix of your folks!!! and all prettied up in a "table".. even though that is the techie name.. I still like the idea of "frame" /mat.
Thanks for posting colleen
Indeed it would appear that you are mightily blessed. Good looking family, obviously taking after their mother. :)
How sweet. You look like your Mom, Amy. She reminds me of a movie star and I can't for the life of me recall her name. Senior moment.
I was right. They are of my era.
Yes, T.O., she came home talking about how Dad, "laid it on the line" to the folks about getting their selves to church. I wish she could have stayed to hear his sermon tonight. At the end of his sermon he said what made a happy Father's Day for him was when his son said, "Come on Dad, let's go fishing." And then he said what made a happy Father's Day for him was when he received a card from his stepdaughter that said, "Thank you for choosing to be my Dad. Thank you for pitching ball with me, teaching me how to ride a bike, for letting me 'help' in your workshop and pretending that I wasn't in the way. Thank you for being the only Dad I've ever known. I love you. Sissy." That was the 'daughter' who was here this weekend. She is mine, but it's true that she loves her stepdad as the only dad she has ever known. Of course when he read that card he almost lost it, and I did. The Lord has blessed me so greatly to have given me such a good man.
Happy Father's Day to all FR Father's!
Thank you, Nan.
We don't realize how important our Moms are until after they are no longer with us.
Yes dad loves soccer and the match you mentioned was actually shown on UK TV today live small world. Both dad and I have season tickets for Arsenal and Charlton.
Thank you
