Let me get this straight.
He made this accusation against our troops on the Senate Floor? And it was entered into the Record?
Then he issues a CYA PRESS RELEASE????
Oh I don't think we are through with him yet.

I sincerely regret if what I said caused anyone to misunderstand my true feelings

Dick Durbin still refuses to retract his accusations that U.S. Marines and other Americans acted like Nazis, Soviets, and the Khmer Rouge. This is not an apology and it does nothing to undo the damage Durbin has done in giving enemies of the United States a propaganda weapon to use against us. This is a contemptible Friday-afternoon PR stunt that all other Senators must reject as they vote to censure Dick Durbin.

Notice that this disgusting, treasonous bastard is not really apologizing. "I sincerely regret if what I said caused anyone to misunderstand my true feelings" is an extraordinarily crafted non-apology apology. He has not taken anything he said back, nor has he expressed any regrets for the actual comparison.

I hate this m*th*rf*****r.

Durbin has never explained how he believes we should interrogate an enemy that; Has no government
wear no uniforms
believes that every American, men woman and children should be killed
vow to die trying to destroy us, even by suicide
and swear allegiance to a foreign God.

According to these people, dying for their cause is supposed to bring them glory. If this is the case, how can Durbin even consider their plight as anything other than ordained by their god?
It's as though Senator Durbin disrespects their faith and cause by insisting that they be kept alive.
That's a slap in the face to any god fearing Muslim terrorist and smacks of religious persecution!

It would also seem that allowing them to live, when their desire is to die for the cause, is cruel and unusual punishment.
The humane thing for our servicemen to do would be to stop taking prisoners. If we kill every insurgent we find, we can eliminate the torture and humiliation.
If you want our soldiers to respect the Muslim religion as practiced by the terrorists, you must insist that every insurgent be shot dead. Anything else sounds like Christian Conservatism... we know how horrible that is.
Agreed?

Newest American slang term:

"Pulling a Durbin"

Def: "A crazily hyperbolic and totally inaccurate harangue."

Ex: "Wow. Like Saddam Hussein is a poor misunderstood dude, man. And those 9/11 hijackers. Innocent kids."

I think the most effective way is to email his contributers:

Hurt him where it counts!

No apology here, and no "misunderstanding" either!

What Durbin and all the other Democratic Partisans are doing during this critical time of war against extremist terrorists is consistent with President George Washington's Farewell admonition regarding what he identified as the danger of the "spirit of Party."

Hear this small excerpt from that dire warning:

". . .the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it."

"It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions."

Historically knowledgeable "wise people" have complained about Durbin's partisan-motivated public statements, which are either uninformed or deliberately intended to damage his country's President's effort to contain and wage a dangerous war against tyranny.

And, he claims they "misunderstood" him????

If the accusatory and inflammatory remarks of Dean, Durbin, Kennedy, Biden, and other partisans are allowed to stand, unchallenged by a "wise people," then we must conclude that the decades-long failure to teach and learn the Founders' principles, and the means by which they can be subverted, has succeeded!

Remember the outcry over remarks by Newt, Lott, and other
Republicans. They paid the price by being kicked out of
their leadership positions. That is the least that should
happen to Durbin. His removal or censure is not likely.
Senate libs are too good at protecting their own. GOP members
do not have the ***** to push the issue. That leaves it to
those who voted him into office. America is stuck with this
scum for a long time...
