Woman says key chain was in her burger

MIDDLETOWN -- A Middletown woman who bought a double cheeseburger at a fast food drive-through says she chipped a tooth on a keychain when she bit into the sandwich.

Penny Needham says she’s talking to a lawyer. The manager of the McDonald’s restaurant has asked police to investigate how the keychain got into the burger.

In March, a Las Vegas woman told police she found a fingertip in a bowl of chili at a Wendy’s restaurant in San Jose, California. That woman has been jailed on charges that she planted the finger in the chili.

I stopped in Pecos, Texas last year and ordered a Sonic cheese burger.

To my surprise I bite into the hamburger right into one of those plastic bread tie wrappers and nearly choked trying to get it out of my mouth.

Everyone working at the Sonic became concerned when I barfed on the drive.

She started screaming and everyone came running yelling to anyone who was in a quarter of a mile of Sonic to call 911.

After getting the plastic wrapper out of my mouth, I couldn't help but laugh when one of the girls said "oh no we really screwed up your hamburger, are you gonna sue"

I said well I would consult my lawyer and the workers could be my witnesses.

She then said "well if you will not sue, I will give you another hamburger."

I know the plastic bread tie was dangerous but her reaction was just to funny.

Needless to say I did not sue nor consult a lawyer for what was obviously a careless mistake.

Smarter, keychains can't be DNA-tested.

"...the burger looked like it had been run over by an 18-wheeler..."

Now you know that's how they make them tender, Chuck. BTW, where-the-hell have you been?

Stay well, pal..............FRegards

On Friday I stopped at a taco joint in town. On my first bite of chicken burrito, I found a piece of chicken bone (about 8mm x 6mm) in my mouth. I put in on the plate and ate the rest of the burrito without incident

This was an adult happy meal! This is Middletown, Ohio by the way and that is where I live. If I were to guess what happened my guess would be that one of the local Briars, who carries his keys on a long chain just got it caught in a burger. All they had to do is wait a bit and he would have found out he could start his truck and he would have come back in to get them.
Not to disparage Middletown more than it deserves, but many graduates from MHS hopes and aspirations are tied to empolyment at this very McDonalds.

At some point we, as a people, are going to have to re-learn that, if you want it made perfectly, learn to make it so yourself. If you want the ease and convenience of buying it mass produced from some outfit that makes billions of them, you take what you get.
