Title says it. What are your thoughts? I voted that Durbin ought to be removed from office but I doubt that they will do more than talk a lot.

I'm praying that you're right. But, I'm losing faith...

Anti-UNITED STATES factions Want you to lose faith, nothing worth anything comes easy. God Blessed this Country because it was formed using His Word as a guide, if God is with us, who can stand against us?

Even the non-Christian can agree this Country was not brought forth from the "wilderness" and made succesful by those who did not love Freedom and this Country. Rather, it was courages people leaving behind oppression, then fighting to keep it when the oppressors came to this shore.

We'll know what to do. These things take time.

The Constitution forbids putting Durbin on trial<<<

Nope. Traitors may go on trial according to the Constitution.

Durbin AAIDED and ABETTED the ENEMY. If that is not a traitor, I dont know what is...

censure would be nice. hell, they still haven't censured KKK Byrd, so I won't hold my breath.<<<

I can draw certain conclusions about our Government from this small fact alone.

Have we submitted to Tyranny?

It's sickening. Trent Lott is practically forced from Office, and they continue to name buildings and freeways for a former Klansman.

GOP put up more fight in ousting lot, then they do fighting the filthy Dems.

I re-registered from the GOP to no party affiliation, as well. I'm sick of the spinelessness of them. They are better than the Dems with respect to not being all out Traitors and Seditious SOB's, but they are not far behind in turning their backs on their consituents now that the election is over. GWB is dissappointing.

Traitors may go on trial according to the Constitution.

So what? Senators can't be put on trial for things said in debate on the Senate floor.

for any Speech or Debate in either House, [Senators and Representatives] shall not be questioned in any other Place.
And *that's* trump.

Removal shouldn't be out of the question in my opinion. His remarks certainly rise to a level that would warrant removal. My only objection has been to the overzelous (at best) who think a criminal solution is in order. It's not.

And this is what I'm talking about. Waaaay of the mark. There is no grounds whatsoever for a criminal solution. These comments truly smack of the rise of the Nazi party.

Nothing should be done about Durbin. We need him around for the next election so we can make him our posterboy of the "kook fringe" Democratic party. I see a great Republican infomercial in the works next election. I see a montage of Dean, Durbin, and Kennedy spouting their outrageous lies being played over and over and over so that there is NO doubt in anybodys' mind where the Democratic party stands today.

Material comfort is treason. If it were ideological comfort, then any vocal opposition to any war, would always be treason. That kind of system would be truly frightening.

Wars are fought until one side decides to quit. Occasional battles are fought to the last man, and thus no one left alive to quit. But no wars that I know of.

If putting forward a position that encourages our abandonment of the war isn't treason, then I don't know what is.

It would take a lawyer to think otherwise.

The US military "won" the Vietnam war handily in S.E. Asia. But we "lost" it on the streets of America by the treasonous acts of people like Jane Fonda. Nearly two million people are dead, and a couple hundred thousand were truly "tortured" in re-education prisons as a result.

Opposition to a war, after it has been joined, should be Treason.

Senators aren't removed from office except for treason (yeah I know his comments sounds treasonous, but good luck getting the Senate to buy that unless you can prove he's been funding Saddam). Even if by some miricle he WAS expelled from the Senate, the hack APPOINTED to replace him would no doubt be even worse, given what kind of Chicago socialists are running the state right now.

I voted censure and remove from leadership post. The media won't even bring it up but voters who heard nothing about the scandal will find out when he's up for re-election. Let's see Dickie try to spin that.

You know, I saw McConnell come on Fox & Friends this morning and repeat that old tired out saying, "my friend and colleague" when discussing Durbin. Also said that he made "a very big mistake" but willing to move on. Also Trent Lott was on the mics with Dodd stating the President should just give the info the Dems are seeking to get Bolton in.

I definitely can see the point you make. Reluctantly, as I am an optimist, I may have to agree with you on this one.
