Thank God. At least we get a few happy endings when it comes to missing children. But I wonder why it always happens in Utah...

I guess I should have put Utah boyscout in the title since some people may not know who I am talking about.

He has no major problems according to Fox News.

I've been praying all weekend for him. He looked like such a sweet boy in the picture, I kept thinking how frightened he must be.

Thank God for his goodness.

The kids that go missing in Utah are more likely to be found alive than the ones from Florida.

Apparently...I'll bet it was all the outdoor lessons his father taught him that kept him alive. Goes to show you--you never know when your kid is paying attention.

Area where he was found, he would have had to find out how to cross a river. Very minor injuries if any according to Fox News.

If you're a kid and you're going to go missing, make sure you go missing in UT.

According to the emergency workers, some parts of the river are only ankle deep, while others are much deeper and faster-moving--owing to the large amounts of melting snow still coming downstream. He could have easily crossed an ankle-deep river.

The one thing I wonder about is this: if he had so much outdoor training with the Scouts and with his father's trips into the wilderness, why wouldn't he have followed one of the first rules taught to anyone going to spend long periods of time in the woods: If you get lost, stop moving. Stay put.

Regardless, it's a miracle that he was found alive. His parents' nightmare is finally over.

I know exactly how you feel. Give your Brennan an extra hug today.

Check Fox News - emergency workers are giving a little information from time to time.

News conference shortly.

Maybe you should ask one of the mods to change your title, adding Utah's missing Scout, or such.

Yup. (1) You're closer to where you were last seen.

(2) You expend less energy and therefore dehydrate/starve less quickly.

Hmmm... I'm really happy for the kid and his family. They had thousands of searchers on Father's Day! The news media thinks that that's a phenomenon, but it's the nature of Mormons -not just Utah- to value unity and life to an enormous extent. Now a few things on how he could have gotten by just fine (I'm a Boy Scout):

1) You can survive for weeks without food. Sure, you'll be hungry, but you can get by on water and a good sleep shedule. I know a guy who fasted for 40 days, and all he would ingest was a very limited amount of water, and he's still around today, thriving and healthy.

2) Never underestimate a Boy Scout. They have an innate ability/perception that most people don't have.

Some Girl Scouts are well prepared too!

More options for them and some girls do not choose the survival lessons.
