I haven't heard it yet but I don't doubt that there is going to be a massive "but" in the apology and he is going to get on his soap box.
Saying that you regret your choice of words is not the same thing as apologizing.
Means nothing to me. I'm sick of politicians saying something inflammatory ... running it up the flagpole to see which way the wind is blowing ... and if criticism is too harsh apologizing for it. Durbin may apologize now, but this will become common Democrat strategy in the coming weeks. Same thing with Cynthia McKinney saying 9/11 was a Bush plot.
Now Durbin, apologize to the families of the soldiers, and the soliers themselves who are still going to be in greater danger and maimed or killed because of your foolish grand standing and political whoring...and then show us you really mean it by resigning your seat in the Senate you political whoeronger.

No matter what, the MSM won't hear it either -- as far as I am concerned, Durbin should resign due to his obvious treason. After all, look at what Trent Lott resigned over...a mere pittance compare to what Comrade Durbin spouted!!! Better yet, just drop him out of a C-130 over a Marine base in Iraq...that will be the end of him.
