You know, it's interesting. This whole business of war, terrorism, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, the whole lot, the country actually has a fiercer will, and a tougher backbone, than their national legislators do on these issues
He is so absolutely right!
And the fact that the GOP can't seem to internalize this reality, and thereby politically capitalize on the country's existing feeling of nationalism and patriotism so as to push through conservative nominees and a conservative agenda, demonstrates an amazing political ineptitude.
Not a political antenna in the entire GOP ranks. The GOP is squandering a political opportunity, seldom available.

I know none of the Democrats are rooting for the USA. Well, Joe Lieberman, perhaps. But very quietly...
