It wasn't his first USO tour of those two nations: "Last year when I was over there, I didn't feel like it was anything we could ever win. But this year ... four out of five of the Iraqi people would wave at the choppers (that his group flew around in). Iraqis want our great boys and girls over there. They're tasting freedom for the first time."
What's the best part about doing a USO tour? "Just being able to bring a part of America over to them," Keith responds.
Keith says he finds inspiration while on the many long bus trips his tours entail.

Toby will also appear with Sean Hannity at the upcoming Freedom Festival at the Six Flags in Jersey (I Believe) , and has long been a supporter of our troops and their mission .. .. ..
I remember an interview with Toby Keith some time back where he said he wasn't sure about the propriety of the Iraq war, but he definitely supported our efforts in Afghanistan. Appears he may have changed his mind regarding Iraq.
However he personally feels about the war in Iraq, or anything else, he has always supported our troops. He's a real class guy, and I'm happy for his success.

Why is this guy a Democrat? i like him he is obviously a patriot but why in God's name would he be registered as a Democrat when they obviously do not reflect his views

Could be the "my daddy was a democrat, my granddaddy was a democrat" legacy.
Toby is from Oklahoma, they do have a democrat governor, but that was due, IIRC. to a three way race in 02, but Oklahoma also has 2 of the most conservative Senators, both Pubbies.
I've heard him say some things that sure sounded anti-Bush to me too, but I cannot give you a source or anything. Just wanted to back up the other poster who wrote it.
I know he is kinda star-struck by some of the big-libs out there, maybe that is why.

i dont think the article does but he campaigned for the Dem governor of OK and stated in an ABC interview that he was a Dem and everyone was surprised by it (no duh)
