If Democrats like Dick Durbin believe the vicious attacks they so relentlessly spew against America and America’s military then I wouldn’t blame them for hating this country and seeking its overthrow.
After all, if America were truly led by Adolph Hitler (as the Democrats repeatedly call George W. Bush) and our soldiers were “only following orders,” like the Nazis that Durbin compared them to, and the American people not only solidly returned Hitler to power but did so with even more support at every level of government, all good people should seek its demise.
What is more likely, however, is not that Democrats like Durbin believe their attacks--could anyone really believe the biggest gripe the Jews had after the Holocaust was that the Nazis played the music too loud?--but rather that they so hate America in general that the intentional slander of its leader, military, and citizens is thought to be an act of honor and courage.
Either way--whether they (1) believe their own insane claims or they’re (2) slandering America because they seek her demise for other reasons, there is no doubt that the Democrats--particularly the leftists who so utterly control that party today--hate America.
One could argue that the Democrats’ anti-American attacks are meant only to pander to voters in the blue states and thus insure the reelection and continued cushy life of a senator like Durbin. But this presupposes that there is a majority of blue-state voters that falls into one of the two categories listed above. Here the argument becomes that it’s not the Democratic Party leadership that hates America--they’re only treasonous prostitutes willing to sell out their country for power, money and privilege--but the rank and file Democrats who do.
It is hard to believe, though, that if instead of engaging in their campaign of lies, slanders, demagoguery and treason, Democratic Party leaders had stood shoulder to shoulder with Republicans in defense of this nation and helped make the rightful case for removing Saddam Hussein, liberating twenty-five million human beings from rape, torture, and genocide and spreading democracy throughout the Middle East, these Democratic Party incumbents wouldn’t have won reelection in even the bluest of the blue states.
Hillary Clinton, the consummate calculating politician, came to this conclusion and, although she still needs to win reelection to the Senate in no less a liberal stronghold than New York in 2006, she has already begun to moderate her positions towards the war in preparation for her run for president in 2008.
With the number of Democrats in the House and Senate dwindling with each successive election, the notion that the left seeks to change its fortunes by continuing its campaign of anti-American slander, simply does not compute.
Thus I am again left with only two possibilities: either Democrats hate America because they believe the lies they are spewing or they are spewing the lies because they hate America.
Why Do Democrats Hate America?
Democrats see life as a zero-sum game. To them, if someone wins that means it must come at the expense of someone else. To the Democrat, then, success is evil as it causes pain and suffering to others. Since America is unprecedentedly successful the Democrat sees America as unprecedentedly evil. To the Democrat, then, comparisons between America and the likes of Hitler, Pol Pot, and Ghangis Kahn are not just apt, they are understatement.
Republicans, on the other hand, believe that “all ships rise with the tide” and that success--at all levels and to the greatest degree--is to be encouraged as it benefits all of mankind.
While the Republican recognizes, however, that success tends to be a reflection of a good and healthy person or society, they, unlike the Democrats, do not define good and evil by it. To the Republican success and failure are amoral--with right and wrong defined solely by behavior. To the Democrat, behavior is of no import, with good defined simply as whatever fails and evil as whatever succeeds.
This is why Democrat policy is designed to reward failure and punish success without regard to the cause. It is why they support “social promotions” for children who fail in school, eliminating “merit” as the criteria for receiving the Merit Scholarship, and, of course, support every failed political regime on the planet, no matter how horrific its system and leader.
There is no doubt that Democrats hate America. There is no other possible explanation for their attempts to portray unpleasant temperatures in an interrogation cell in Cuba or a couple of pairs of panties on the heads of those sworn to murder all infidels as the equivalent of the regimes of Pol Pot and Adolph Hitler. There can be no other explanation for the Democratic Party leaders giving a standing ovation to what they know to be a lie-filled, hate-filled, anti-American propaganda film--one that would be used to incite violence against America and drum up recruits to massacre its citizens. There can be no other explanation for these hateful, demagogic attacks on America’s commander-in-chief and military at a time of war--especially when that war is against those who have not only sworn to bring death to America and Americans but have already done so by the thousands.
Yes, Democrats hate America--and will continue to do so until they can make us fail.

The Dems have a legacy and posture of not only anti-Americanism, but negativism and failure. Good news for American is VERY BAD for the dark-side of the force.
Personally I want to know what steps to take to see certain senators and congressman brought up on treason or sedition charges for aiding the enemy. Do we file formal complaints with the Justice Dept??

Watch for the hyper-sensitive democRATS to have Evan Sayet arrested and jailed for commiting a hate crime against them.
I can't think of a single one of them whom I believe - truly believe is a joyful, happy person! But George W. Bush IS! He strikes me as a gifted individual who is humble, yet immensely strong and quite at home within his own selfhood.
It also helps to have a fantastic "other half," which is something else that most certainly Hillary-the-man-hater can't brag about.

I agree. The projection, narcissism, twisting of facts, aggression...are all deep down defense mechanisms attempting to compensate for some poorly developed egos and self esteem.
Mere hatred of American institutions would beg them to bide their time, and obscure their true beliefs while working toward the replacement of capitalism with socialism....just like the Clintons did, and are doing.
In my opinion FEAR, more specifically fear of the loss of POWER, is causing the desperation and the revelations of true anti-American feelings we are witnessing from the Democrats in these days.
Also contributing to their fear is the fact that the MSM is no longer able to cover for them, they must feel they are standing at the edge of a cliff.
This is because America - the great experiment - has proved once and for all that communism does not work and that free enterprise is the best economic strategy there is.
But they remain committed to communism regardless of the evidence.
Why, then is Castro so universally loved by the likes of Hollyweird? His government is a catastrophic failure, in that as a multi-billionaire, he "governs" a country whose median annual income is an amount that no one here could live on in a month. But by golly, he's a communist, and rich or not, he's OK with the likes of Jack Nicholson, Danny Glover, ad nauseum.
I have said for a long time that liberals hate America. Every move they make, everything they say is oriented in that direction. And I will continue to use something another FReeper said that sums it all up in a few words (sorry I forgot who said it): "There are two types of liberals; those that hate America and those that empower them."
IMHO, this is the message we need to make the Sleeping Giant understand, that this country is in danger once again because of those who wish us to fail. That includes the UN, many other countries around the world, and American liberals.
So my question is: If liberals are so patriotic, what do they love about America? I can't think of anything. I mean, aside from abortions and gay sex in public parks.
