What to do with the UN?
none

Posted on 06/24/2005 5:02:58 PM PDT by future F22 pilot

Obviously we want the United States to stop fooling around with a corrupt UN, we want all meddling in such horrible activities to stop. We want to stop promoting a new global world order and yet we still need a world body.

We can't just leave the UN we need something to replace it. Even when we do leave it a question remains of what do with it. Since it is headquarted in New York we have a lot of control over its fate, we can kick them out if we want. But why not let them stay? Of course we would strip diplomatic immunity and make them abide by the same rules all businesses in the US have to.

One benefit of this would be a large income to the US government from the taxes the UN would have to pay. Instead of us waisting money on the UN we would be recieving money. We could then use this money for foriegn aid and use the money currently given to the UN on our defense.

We also need to start a new organization to replace the UN. The UN is too corrupt and far beyond the place of reform. So the easiest way to fix this is to start a new organization. First only countries with a clearly democratic system should be accepted as members. No communist countries, no dictatorships, and no countries who have violated the Geneva Convention.

Second, it needs to have much much less power than the UN. It should have some limited economic powers and possibly a limited indepent military, made up of its own recruits. No memeber country should be obligated to comply in any way.

Third its funding should be about 75% less than the current UN, and the legislative bodies of membership countries should have some control over the organization.

Right now though, the first step is to get out of the UN. The best option right now is from Ron Paul's of Texas HR 1146. It could be better but currently there is nothing else out there, so contact your congressmen in support of this bill.

My 2¢'s about the UN?

Neal Boortz has the right idea- kick them off US soil, plop them down in Haiti, and tell them, "when you get this straightened out, give us a call..."

Moreover:

--Sex abuse charges rock UN in Congo-
-- Interesting this is being posted today. Talk show host Dennis Prager had the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Doree Gold, on his show today. Mr. Gold has just written a book about the UN called the Tower of Babble(i think this was the title). Some of the things he was saying about the UN were unbelievable.

--TV campaign urging: Kick U.N. out of U.S.-
"I say we just give the entire country of Haiti to the UN."--or move them to Zimbabwe or another country in Africa. Let them see what the really do for the world.

--UN knew of Saddam's oil-for-food thefts: BBC-
The sooner we resign from this corrupt organization and kick them off our soil, the better.

Click this picture & goto "last" for the latest UN scandals:

If you aren't informed about this stuff, you will be made sick. If you are informed, you will be made mad, all over again.

1)Replace it with a new organization composed of only democratic nations under the firm leadership of the United States.

2)Drastically pare back the organization's role and functions.

Take the UN building by eminent domain "for the common good".

What's wrong with #1?

"yet we still need a world body"

For what? Just because one has existed as a precedent? No, we don't NEED one at all. That's where actual 'diplomacy' comes in.

The UN serves no purpose for the US.

We don't get their money--they get ours.

We don't need their "defense"--they need ours.

Most of the nations are anti-American.

All "benefits" are a one-way street--from us to them. The sole purpose of the UN is to drain the US Treasury for their benefit (usually corrupt dictators' bank accounts).

Continued membership in the UN is continued loss of American sovereignty and a continual draining of the US Treasury. All it does is weaken us and strengthen enemies. These are simple truths and can be proved with facts. The Bush Admin's continued involvement witht he UN is anti-American. Even the most loyal RNC loyalist can't deny this. All decent Americans need to express their outrage that the U.S. sanctions an anti-American organization, funds it, overlooks corrupt scandals, and costs this nations mega-billions.

In a nutshell, it is treasonous to support this corrupt organization, and the Bush Admin and the RATs both fail to push for a withdrawal of membership.

Our nation and our future is in jeopardy as both parties fail to recognize the UN is weakening our nation.

The WTO is more a threat to our sovereignty than the UN.

Well, now that the SCOTUS issued its latest ruling on property rights Pataki should seize the UN building in New York and give it to Wal-Mart :-D.

Not really.

Trade agreements can be altered, changed, voided, etc. However, it would take balls to get out of the UN, something our Admin AND the RATs do not have. Hence, the UN is far more dangerous to America than the WTO.

It is crystal clear that the UN is anti-American and weakens America and it is just as crystal clear this Admin has no intention of withdrawing membership.

The conclusion is then that this Admin (and the RATs) do not care about protecting this nation's sovereignty.

only democratic nations under the firm leadership of the United States.

That would be Britain, Australia, Italy and Poland.
