On the Inernet, people in the UK and Europe always used to argue that they didn't need to have freedom of speech and freedom of the press in their constitutions because they weren't in danger without them being spelled out...

Hmmm, recent rulings of the US Supreme Court make me wonder whether spelling things out in a constitution is worth the effort.
