I have also learned to identify them by the tone of voice and how they greet the host.

This is the sort of action Free Republic was formerly capable of. The forum no longer has the will for direct action to take on the various leftist organizations and causes.

The DC chapter is the sole remaining depository of activist FReeper will.

Caller: "I vote for Republicans in 2004 but I won't next election".
Host:"Why did you vote for them in 2004?"
Caller: "Buh buh..I, er, ummm..."

Is there any other way to say "Jay?"

Yes, in Spanish it would be pronounced "Hay" as in "Hay-soos". I have no idea whether this is the point of the adminition to pronounce it Jay as in J.

The trolls don't get very far with the hosts I listen to. Neal Boortz and Rush have extraordinarily sensitive radar.

Among the several mistakes that Bush made after 911, one of them was to not ask Congress for a former declaration of War. He would have gotten it and many Dems would have opposed this.

Just so no one thinks I am anti-Bush, the other mistakes I refer to are not firing George Tenent for the intelligence failures, not firing Norman Minetta for failing to secure the airports under his watch and not immediately securing the borders.

And yes, I know Tenent was not to blame for the intelligence failures. But when bad things happen, someone has to be the fall guy, Tenent was the most logical choice.

Didn't we have something better than a declaration of war from Congress with Resolution 1441 from the United Nations.

That is a body of government that the Liberals love more than their own country in hopes of implementing their socialist Utopian society?

You have to play against them as they play against us. Thus they will argue out of both sides of their mouth. W/o 1441 it is an illegal war, even if Congress had declared. With 1441 and no declaration of War, then Congress did not approve and thus it is an "unconsitutional" war.

We could have used both.

Didn't we need approval from our own Congress to even vote for Resolution 1441 at the United Nation? If the answer is yes then we already had a mandate for war?

Talk show listeners with any brains at all can detect these people in the first sentence or two.

Not to mention call screeners and hosts.

So say something like "Jay I supported going to war but Bush is now carrying out an unconstitutional war and needlessly placing our troops in harms way."

Gosh, that's clever. It would fool me.

We are looking at this issue from two different perspectives.

You are asking clear logical concise questions over defined parameters of approvals and other legal hurdles that must be undertaken to proceed forward with War. And you are right.

However, I am also looking at it from the perspective of attempting to thwart the arguments that the left uses against Bush. The visual of Congress voting to declare war, the headlines in all papers the next day CONGRESS DECLARES WAR!, the nightly news focused on Bush being given a Congressional mandate, all of those visuals would have firmly implanted into the minds of the American people that Bush had been given a task to achieve.

But now, the left declares it is Bush's war for oil, etc, ad naseum.

I changed my tagline in part because of this discussion. The message being: "Know your enemy"

There is no doubt in my mind that the Democrats are 'the enemy'. They are fighting an ideological war against us. We (the Republican's) just have not figured out the depth of hate, their utter desperation and the contempt that they have for us.

“Jay if George Bush really wants to make us safer then why has he and Dick Chenney stonewalled the bipartisan 911 commission?” “Now that Haliburton has been exposed for its corruption and profiteering from the Iraq war wouldn’t it be appropriate for Dich Chenney to step down? After all Chenney is closely linked to Haliburton and this gives an appearance of conflict of interest”

Not only are they extremely stoopid, but they can't spell either!

The left perfected this technique. They also put out anti-Bush stuff on the top of threads -- and generic excuses for democrat dirty tricks ("everyone does it")
