If I remember correctly, one of the Swift Boat Vets said at the CPAC meeting that O'Donnell was great for their fundraising. They calculated that they took in $18,000 for every time he shouted LIAR at O'Neill in that famous encounter. So there's a warm place in my heart for Larry. Right next to the spot reserved for Howeird Dean.

Plame flaunted the issue by agreeing to be photographed for a magazine with his wife for gosh sakes. It's not like they really wanted it secret. Now it's just a waste of Americas time. If they don't really care, why should we?

LOL. Yep. Dan Rather wanted the story, but he's been busted too many times already. O'Donnell figured he'd try to pull one off in loving memory of the old MSM.

Why in the world should we defend a man who orchestrated the outing of a CIA operative as a kind of petty political payback? He belongs in the slammer.

I agree. If it were a conservative, I'd be angry, too.
So, who's the leaker - really? Names. We want names. Who really leaked it? Do you know something we don't?

Names? Karl Rove is almost certainly one of them. He and Novak go way back and there is no doubt that Rove was shopping the story to other journalists almost immediately. Plant it then shop it is standard operating procedure. Obviously Rove did not have access to the names of CIA operatives, even those working the WMD desk, so someone fed him the name. I suspect that Fitzgerald may not know who fed Rove the name, but he will try to put Rove in jail and hope to make him talk. Who would have known the names of operatives at the WMD desk? There are one or two possiblities, but I think Bolton is the likeliest.

OFGS is right. This guy is so determined, he's spamming everything and everyone in sight. I also see an article by Isikoff repeating some of this tripe.

This info was given over to the grand jury, right? Aren't grand juries secret until they either dissolve or hand out an indictment? I think I see the game they're playing. They can continue this lie until the documents are made public, which could take awhile. Meanwhile, they make hay.

MSM lies all the time. Obviously the ultimate objective to lie is when 2 of MSM's finest are going to jail and going to jail over a backfired attempt to 'get' the Bush Admin.

Imagine the anger. Plans to get Bush, blew up. Two of our own will do jail time. The revered 'anonyomous sources' defense doesn't work.

May as well try and bring down the hated Karl Rove.

O' Donnell is basicly just reporting that Newsweek will say it was Rove. He isn't a source in the story, like Novak or Cooper would be.

It was funny. Someone on another thread linked to that same article and I correctly pointed out that was old news (well over a year old) and it was information that had been sought and given in January 2004.

In short order E&P had pulled the article with a disclaimer that it was accurate but old and it was mistake (I'm buying, that...you?) that it was reposted today. Check your link again and you'll see.

There is zero evidence to support your claim. Rove was not shopping it. He spoke with reporters AFTER the Novak column and has never denied it.

He was not the source (one of two, don't forget) for Novak but his speaking after the column has been twisted before and it's being twisted again.

Are you an unwitting or a willing tool? I'll pick "willing" what with your droppig Bolton's name into the mix.

A lying willing tool. How does that feel?

I for one am pleased that the sources provided information as to why Wilson was sent to Niger and since his wife was not undercover (I'll deduce), that was not the crime.

However, on another thread there is an excerpt from Newsweek and they do not go that far at all.

As I figured out immediately, Rove's name is in the notes and his lawyer confirms that. It has never been a secret that he spoke with reporters. After the Novak column.

O'Donnell is indeed spinning the Newsweek report beyond what it says.

You people here at FR have your priorities mixed up. Why are you all upset about global warming and bash the press for blaming our wonderful President Bush? Just because our fearless leader made his fortune by insider trading in Harken Energy stock doesn't make him a polluter, does it?
The real issue we ...

Yeah, right. - Here's another.

My family does take responsibility for making our own lives better, to the extent possible under a Republican Party dictatorship. During the Clinton-Gore years we all had jobs, during the Bush years all 4 of us lost at least one job. We've got money invested in the stock market, but feel lucky to break even now compared with nice returns in the 90's.

Come on. This is a troll.
