Grandfather Accused Of Raping 2-Year-Old Girl Eismon's Bond Set At $2M

POSTED: 5:21 pm EDT July 5, 2005 UPDATED: 6:29 pm EDT July 5, 2005

CARROLL, Ohio -- A Fairfield County grandfather on Tuesday was accused of raping his 2-year-old granddaughter at a family gathering, NBC 4's Nancy Burton reported.

Robert Eismon

Robert Eismon, 49, made his first court appearance Tuesday after being charged with rape, kidnapping and gross sexual imposition.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the home Sunday after the girl's mother made a frantic 911 call.

Dispatcher: 911, what's your emergency.

Caller: I just caught my father-in-law trying to have sex with my 2-year-old daughter.

Dispatcher: What's he doing now?

Caller: I don't know. I know he's outside. He lives out in the garage. I don't know. I don't want to go out there 'cause I'll hurt him.

The sheriff said the alleged rape occurred on a mattress in the garage.

"Being a father, being a grandfather, it is very troubling, and I don't think anyone can imagine that someone could do such a terrible thing," Sheriff Dave Phalen said.

Eismon's bond was set at $2 million. He is being held in the Fairfield County Jail.

Sick. Sick. Sick. If this is true, the man needs the death penalty.

They should have plastered his face across every television, newspaper and on billboards and then set his bail at 3 cents.

I'm a guy, but if I were this young lady, I don't think I'd worry too much about whether I was hurting him.

Has this stuff been going on for the last 50 years or so, and we just here about it.
Or is it new?

Think CBS et al would air them? I'll bet they would, it would generate huge ratings and ad dollars.

Some of it has. A lot of these perverts were victims of previous generations of perverts before them.

This would be fine if they started with the smaller head first.
