A suggestion:
It is better to tell unbelievers that you take the Bible (Word of God) SERIOUSLY instead of literally. The Bible uses many literary techniques such as analogies that do not make much sense if took literally.
Most importantly, the Word of God must be taken in totality not just a sentence here and a sentence there.

On this point I would disagree. When the bible uses analogies and parables it is quite clear, especially parables. I am quite comfortable with literally.
Most importantly, the Word of God must be taken in totality not just a sentence here and a sentence there.
On this we are in total agreement.

Shalom Israel (post 25 in this thread) at least was honest enough to admit that the Bush administration is not helping to move us in the direction of ideals expressed in your earlier post here. A) I disagree with this premise.
