The voice of the new imam at one of the largest mosques on the East Coast rang loud from the pulpit during Friday services: "The call to reform Islam is an alien call." People who do not understand Islam are the ones seeking to change it, said Shaker Elsayed, the new spiritual leader at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church. "Ignorance comes from outside circles who know nothing about us," Mr. Elsayed said during noon services to more than 500 men and women, with women worshipping in a separate room. It was one of three services Dar al-Hijrah holds every Friday. Mr. Elsayed, who assumed duties as imam of the mosque June 1, is well known in the Muslim community for his political activism. He has served as secretary general of the Muslim American Society, an advocacy group that some accuse of promoting a fundamentalist strain of Islam. He also has served as an unofficial spokesman for the family of Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, who is accused of joining al Qaeda while studying overseas and plotting to assassinate President Bush. Mr. Abu Ali grew up in Falls Church and worshipped at Dar al-Hijrah. Mr. Elsayed has accused the Justice Department of unfairly targeting Mr. Abu Ali and other young Muslims for prosecution. Perhaps not surprisingly then, Mr. Elsayed's sermons take a political tone.

Now he sounds like the ACLU.
Revoke the tax exempt status of that mosque immediately, the separation of church and state demands it.

Falls Church? They have the unmitigated gall to sit in Falls Church and made these kinds of statements? I wish these murderous bastards would just get the hell out of this country that they hate so much. Every last one and their wives and kids, back to whatever hell hole they came from. Are we waiting for another 9/11 or worse, or what? On our own soil, no less. They are just breeding as fast as they can so when the time comes, we will be outnumbered. And we are sitting here paying for their free medical care, subsidized housing, welfare and the education of their bloody children. If you don't believe me, check out the Safeway at Bailey's Crossroads one Saturday and see them lined up to spend their WIC checks. It is a disgrace, our government is criminally negligent in not stopping this and throwing these people off our soil, and we are sitting here like lambs to the slaughter waiting for those children to grow up and cut our throats.

I work at Bailey's Crossroads and the mosque is about two miles west of where I work! I used to wonder just what they told people on Fridays in that mosque, and now I know! I haven't stopped by that Safeway in a while, but I remember one Saturday a while back when I did.....saw the same thing. Northern VA isn't really Virginia, it is a PC-Dem run dynasty like parts of Massachusetts, California or Oregon.
Lock the bas... up and throw away the key, maybe give many others a reason to speak up on his behalf, and they can be locked up as well. Time for islam to feel the sting. There are no good muslims who are not willing to renounce the religion we know is the cause, the motivation, the reason we are at war with so-called terrorists. The time is now. This does not mean we cannot treat people with some degree of compassion, provided they are willing to openly renounce islam and all it's evil. The "evil empire" is certainly apt.
