GLENEAGLES, Scotland - President Bush warned Americans on Thursday to be "extra vigilant" as they head to work after the deadly explosions in London.

Bush said he spoke with federal homeland security officials back in Washington.

"I instructed them to be in touch with local and state officials about the facts of what took place here in London," Bush told reporters from a summit of world leaders here.

Interesting that cell phones and telephone system went down after the attacks and now on CNN they are saying that they are of the impression that the bombs were set off simultaneously
by someone on their cell phones.

That was my thought, how in the world were they able to pull this off, how can they put these bombs in different areas and have them all go off like that. And more to the point how were these bombs planted? Didnt anyone notice anything?

Right after September 11th, the President urged Americans to be "vigilant" and to report any suspicious activity to the proper authorities. Well, that is exactly what the Minuteman Project did and all they got for it from the President was to be called "vigilantes".

So, Americans, be forewarned. If you follow the President's advice again, you're likely to be called names and told you shouldn't be doing what you're doing.

Vigilant? What the hell will being vigilant do when our borders remain wide open? This is past the point of idiocy it hits at the heart of national security and homeland defense. President Bush needs to pick up where the Minutemen left off and control our damn borders! Anything less is dereliction of duty.

If it was not for the perserverance of President George W. Bush in his efforts and leadership in fighting terrorism against the United States, we would of been doomed on Sept 11,2001. What have you done to fight terrorism against this country, besides your vigilant cynacism?

I hope that all flights leaving London for Washington receive extra scrutiny. Remember, last year there were about a half-dozen alerts on London to Washington flights?

Close and MILITARIZE these borders.

Set up military zones 100 miles to the north and south of our borders.  Place a military high commissioner in charge.  Tell Mexico and Canada this is our version of imminent domain in a terrorist world.

That's been the issue since 911 and this administration has ignored it if not outright fought against strenghtening the border at every turn. Ask the Minutemen. What I don't understand is why some feel national security and border security are two totally unrelated issues. Control our borders will do a lot more for national security than being vigilant.
